Just curious how this is possible. Played a random Skirmish match yesterday, and PRO had two full squads on the other side. Just curious how the matchmaking system can allow this to happen. 8 players from one corp seems a little much. Is this a feature that only large corps can accomplish? Have like 50 members on at once, all squaded up and just search for a match at the same time? |

There's a couple of thing going on here...
First of all PXRXO apparently accepts anyone so they have a crazy # of members. I think I see PXRXO in almost every game now. With so many people queuing, they're bound to be on the same side at some point.
For the most part, the game attempts to separate squads to different sides. Some corps (like mine :P) use this as a fun way to fight against each other. It's a lot of fun when you can regularly fight skilled opponents using teamwork instead of just random unorganized red dots.
Also, getting two squads from the same corp to enter a battle on the same side isn't too much different from getting two squads from corps who are friendly with each other. What makes it more difficult is that one side has two squads who are working together. I remember doing a game with another corp and we had something like five fully tank specd players rolling around in Suryas and Sagaris' and three infantry to press circle. It was those squads vs a bunch of noobs in MLT gear. IMO that was definitely a bigger imbalance than two squads from most corps queuing in together.
I do believe that corps should be separated to different sides. Before you could queue sinc to be on the same side, but it has gotten much better. |

Hmmm... Very interesting. I figured it was just a numbers game, but still. Never seen it before. They weren't the most organized bunch, but they still had better teamwork than our team of individuals. I agree with you on the friendly corps on the same team though. I usually am excited to play against your corp and a few others (your reputations precede you, lol), but when I'm going against 4 tanks on a 3 objective map, it makes me a sad panda. It's nice to go against the better corps and actually hold my own, so I know I'm making some progress since open beta. |

That's exactly how it works actually, it's more like 100-150 though. A lot of times we end up fighting each other. With those #'s sometimes we can overrun matchmaking and get on the same side. |

I think we are up to 200 around 21:00 gmt. We do like to queue multiple squads to increase the chance of this happening. It's a fun thing that large corporations are privilaged to do. I encourage anyone to join so they can be partof something as momentous. |

I understand it's a fluke, however, fighting against your own corp I would think is more likely than fighting all on the same team. It's kinda crazy that the matchmaking system can be spammed into allowing this to happen. Pretty cool if you're in the corp doing this, not so much for those on the other side. I could see this being useful for training purposes. We're in the process of figuring out the best way to train our own corp members, so thanks for the info everyone. |

If you just use TWO squads and queue at the exact same time, there's a high chance that you'll be on opposite sides. Make sure that the person counting down for the sync is not the squad leader.
I think it's a good way to get better. However, it might get expensive. I lost seven Sagarises and two Gunnlogis to Slap in one day, but it was worth it because I definitely learned more about tanking. If you're in a strong corp with strong gear, you can agree to keep the gear at a certain level too. Queuing against your corp mates in random pubs is sometimes fun because it's slightly more chaotic than a normal corp battle. You have four guys in the game working together, and random blue and red dots everywhere.
The downside is that if you're good, you'll probably lower the leader board ranks of your members and corp. I don't know if your corp cares about that kind of stuff. I know when we queue sync all of our stats go down lol. I think it's funny.
The other option is to do scrims with another corp. If you want, you can also put people from your corp into the opposing team by having a squad leader from the opposing team invite members from your corp. When the squad leader enters the corp battle, the members from your own corp will be taken in along with the squad leader. This presents a large number of training opportunities.
And of course, fighting "real" corp battles against other corporations is always a good idea too. You can only learn so much from fighting your own people. There's also no need to waste that kind of money when you can fight other corps and potentially make some. I love corp battles, and I hope that the new conquest of planets and districts will make it so I can corp battle all the time.
Oh, and there's a channel "LFBattle". It's usually closer to LFTrollDodgeTroll, but you should be able to get some corp battles in that channel. You can also get the low down about what's going on between corps too, like who SYN or STB are fighting, what corps do regular battles, and how they are set up. |

I will definitely look into this. Thanks for the feedback, good looking out. |

Its just random luck..
I fought 3 full squads of Subdreddit last night...now that was fun =)
It tends to happen on massive corps, and i've yet to see 2-3 full squads of proto fit Unreals/Imperfects or such...yet. |
