Will you ever put EVE on the PS3/4? or is adapting it too much work for not enough return? I only ask because my laptop is too old to run EVE, and newer model systems are basically decent computers. I used to play, but stopped when you upgraded to vertex shader 3.0 as my laptop cannot run it.
It seems like it may be a good idea, but might not have financial viability.
any answer is appreciated! |

If I recall correctly, CCP at one point(before the DUST 514 had it's shape) thought to make a version of EVE on the consoles, but eventually scrapped the idea due to performance and control issues. So I have my bet on no. |

I REALLY doubt they will not put it onto the ps4
but as for the pc i do not know at this point
if they put dust 514 on a pc then it will give the potential for pc players to use pc equipment to beat ps3 players due to the fact pc controls have a higher skill cap than ps3 (sad but true) |

My understanding is that the Carbon game engine (basis of EVE) did not perform/port well to the PS3. After all, the PS3 is a pretty mediocre PC, even by the standards of a few years back.
It may do better on the PS4, or perhaps it could be run on a server and streamed in?
Unfortunately, I'm not sure that the EVE interface would be even remotely PS4 friendly without a KB/M. Here's a screen shot from earlier today:

As you can see, it's a LOT more detailed than the Dust interface and that's just a simple navigational interaction. If you do searches on Google for more EVE screenshots, the UI is mind-blowingly complex:
