I have no idea if CCP is considering making an app for Dust514 in the future or not, but I really think one could be a great tool for players, especially those in corporations. For example, leaders could set up the infastructure of a corporation in the program where the members could then check player portfolios, match times, rankings, messages and more. Maybe you could even buy and sell on the market all from the device. Of course, this wouldn't be of too much use at the moment, but in the future when the game is more complete, the app could be a great asset. |

At least they said they were...no word on it in awhile...it was suppose to come out for the vita. |

If I remember right, with the new API key they are introducing (someone help me out here I keep forgetting the name of it >_<) they are also releasing a free developer licence for the API key so people can make apps for DUST with access to everything from market data, assets, skills, chat, mail etc BUT the licence clearly states not for profit.
The idea being you get a free licance, CCP technically and legally still have control over the API, they can shut down entire apps if they find issue with them. the developers pay nothing to get the licence, pay no usage, but at the same time ALL dust apps using the new API key have to be free to the user.
So yes apps will be coming, and they will be bloody awesome. but programmers will have to pt there time in, for free, to make them and get nothing back but the thanks and love of the community |
