Played a game of Skirmish, easy win, 4v4 was going well. As soon as more unaffiliated player showed up we had an excess of shockingly bad snipers and LAV drivers.
To counter our teams success a squad of Southern Legion guys drop in. Fine. its fun they are a tough fight to push back.....
but where are the blue dots?
Screwing around on the MCC
Sniping from well outside an effective range.
Are they helping us? Nope.
Oh and wait it gets better. in a show of Corp loyalty a friendly southern Legionnaire crashes his tank into my corp mates tank destroying it (epic troll btw) but this was eclipsed by the sheer stupidly of our team mates.
We won but it wasnt satisfying, and I was honestly disgusted with myself afterwards.
Ah well this game is still fun, im still enjoying working to skill myself up, i still enjoy running with my corp, life as a Merc is good. |

Yet it seems that all they do is run at the enemy and get cut down.... atleast I try to get around the side of the back (because by no means am i some super duster) before getting gunned down. |

It's funny cause you just described flanking, which would work out a lot better if blues weren't so... dumb. Never trust a blue, they will fail you in ways you never thought possible. |

yeah I have a general grasp of tactics and what not, and when I get into a position like that...by the almight powers of New Eden am I and unstoppable force of reberry killing deathness.....that is unless there is a squad of half way competent players around the corner.... which thank those almight New Eden powers there is to give me a run for my money. |

yeah, like redline sniping and refusing to support the 4 people capping during skirmish, we went from mostly controlled, to utter failure. we were winning and they stayed in the redline. |

Pretty much the reason I run lone wolf with my laser. Call a dropship, get on something high, drop uplink and burn as many red dots as I can. I have gotten some very good blue dot gunners on my dropship though, 15-0 on ambush is my highest dropship pilot score. Kill assists of course. |

Yeah I know Wyrm but the kicker is that you know you cant trust them but you hope deep down inside that they wont be stupid this match only to have them turn against you and let you down all over again.
I mean one of the key things about thsi game is getting corps together and running squads....yet blue dots cant cohesively work together....

This is a misconception, blue dots do use teamwork. They all cooperate in helping the red dot's achieve victory. |

Finally read the OP and the answer was indeed yes lol.
The answer to this question also tends to be yes, but pubstoming corp squads will somewhat rectify if not completely undo the stupidity of some blues. |

At least i get to watch the pretty lights as i bleed to death, lol. yeah, thanks blueberries.
Some of these guys cant grasp the concept of what nanohives are really used for, much less nanoinjectors or drop uplinks.
Yesterday I was on and I think I was one of the only ones routinely planting drop uplinks and hives in the field before getting down to the business of shooting.
The bright side of that is, even though im not a great shot, i was still ranking well on the aftermatch scoreboard just because of the amount of WP I was netting.

If anyone of the random blue dots are reading this I want you to know that I appreciate it when you pick up other random blue dots off the ground, especially when its not just back up into the enemy fire they are trying to avoid because that's what they are doing laying on the ground taking cover. If you happen upon someone on the ground shoot the red guy with 20 pts of armor left then pick him up that way the red doesn't get 3 kills for his kdr and instead only gets one, because if you do pick that guy up not only will the red kill the guy you pick up again he will also shoot you in the head enough to kill you just before you get the SP for reviving your teammate. |

Like any multiplayer game with a focus on Teamwork. The best TEAM wins.
Going on about how useless your team is helps nothing. You can call it luck of the Draw, but even when you win, check the bottom of the scoreboard. Nuff New Players Noobing it up down there, Every Round :D Hell sometimes I am down there albeit rarely.
To Any Lone Wolves, try sticking with those useless Blue Dot's. They will die in your place well and create short distractions if you have good positioning.

Some people are green dots.
But as all instant battles are either for Caldari or against us... I have been... not giving those battles where I get sent to fight for the Gallente my all...
But here is a classic: Got my sniper character. Stealthy with profile dampeners and dropsuit command skilled up, I work my way around the map to a good spot of cover and start to line up the first of what should be three shots, three kills on some enemies fighting for the Gallente camped out across the way when something blocks my scope. I look up and there is a blue dot standing right in front of my sniper, repping my character. Even though I am at full armor.
Sabotage? Trolling? Incompetence? |
