To encourage the developers to give us some new content?
I am sick and tired if the same boring ambush/skirmish maps.
And waiting another month for fan fest is a joke right? Another month of boring game play so they can show off the game to eve players making us the ones who play it wait?
I suggest we all take two days off from dust and maybe they will pay attention to us since these forums get us no where except the same Soon BS. |

To be honest, I can't see boycotting them making any difference. I can imagine that, at the moment, they're keeping DUST funded from funds from EVE Online. Sure, the money from the Aurum is a nice bonus, but taking into account the playerbase, and how many people will actually buy aurum... It's hardly enough to keep 70 people and a server farm going, now, is it? |

This is very disappointing, because I do like this game a lot. I've been playing for quite some time now. Invested a good deal of money (on good faith) and now feel that I have been hung out to dry by CCP.
In my opinion, CCP has had more than enough time to deliver content to this game, especially when you consider that I was charged to participate in this bata, and have invested a good deal more money beyond that, yet CCP seems to feel NO obligations what-so-ever to keep me interested in this game. Content wise, the game has not changed significantly since I stared to play.
This is unfortunate but it seem like I won't be around much anymore. |

Ha two days? I haven't played this game regularly (more than once a week) since last August and I haven't seen much new content besides getting rid of a scope on the AR and a laser rifle, and the gimped corp feature. Sooo... Two days isn't gonna do much... |

I think its a way to get there attention before everyone starts to leave for good.
My clan of 65 friends in mag have left and don't plan on coming back. They would rather play mag.. and they now hate dust and talk terrible about it. This is what I'm hoping we can avoid by getting new content. |

Boycotts never work. KFC- still open and doing fine Chik-Filet - still open doing fine. Sorry to use two chicken based businesses but thats a good example to show that they never work. Now a strike would be different. They are for employees of a company. You could make the arguement that we are employees of CCP. a bad arguement but and arguement. And traditionally a company will bring in Scabs to replace the striking workers, so it's more of a long running act so two days wouldn't work. I agree with the other poster with there are a lot better things to rise up against, but a FREE video game is not one of them. |

But boycotting this game is lame. They are doing us a service by letting us play it for free. You dont have to buy Aurum, you dont have to play it, and its not even complete. If you truly want to boycott a company that deals in video games. Boycott EA and all its bullsh*t properties... imo they are the only publisher deserving of being hated. |

lol last Capcom game i played was Dragons Dogma and it was really fun, look forward to the new one on next gen since it rumored to be a launch title. Other than that, i dont really buy into alot of their games. But ya, any game with on disc "DLC" is wrong. It technically isnt even DLC at that point. lol |

I think you've misunderstood the concept of boycotting. What people usually do when boycotting is stop using/buying the product or stop using a certain store etc. It is usually done to show the people in charge that they are doing bad business practice for unethical production, too high prices or any other reason. You do not boycott a video game for two days just because the developers are too slow in your own subjective mind. Unless you actually work for CCP and know how game development works, I suggest you don't tell them how fast they should be creating content in a F2P game.

When I think of it CCP has not confirmed a build around Fanfest , they have just said it would be a good bet. So it could be fanfest 39 days left or it could be later.
On the other hand I would not like to be DEV on the keynote and other meetings on fanfest if they not deliver, so my guess is just before fanfest.
And we dont now what we getting, do we get :
* new maps
* new game modes
* PVE ( ooo hope soo )
Or do we get :
* new bullets to the guns with colour on them
* tweak on light over hacking console
* or some new cool boots , with air dampners
Time will show..... |
