I agree. It got nerfed in a previous build and needs to be looked at. Right now it's useless. |

Seriously the gun is garbage.
I have Weaponry up to 5 assault rifle proficiency up to 3 and two complex damage modifiers and it still does **** for damage/DPS |

I've used it in games and gone 17/0 with it I have realized that it is a defensive weapon meant for medium range, I have found it very useful especially cause its dealing 41.0 I believe I can't fully remember I would have to correct these stat's when I log back on but I think it's just personal preference on the choice of gun. |

Protoman or not, keep it down. We don't want Protoman seeing this thread.... he's been all over this topic since the day it was nerfed in the first place..... The breach guns were hit hard. Magazine capacity went down and damage went down, which by itself was a big nerf. Then, hit-detection improved (from its horrific levels in earlier builds) which auto-buffed all the other faster ROF weapons, making the Credron completely useless.
I'd be ok with keeping the mag capacity as it is, as long as they buffed the damage back to original levels...which if I remember correctly, were +8pts over what they are now.
Same with the Tac, they bumped the recoil up AND reduced damage. Only needed to do one or the other. |

I'm not sure if it needs buffing. It really was overpowered months back. Taking down most guys with 4-5 shots. Far too crazy.
Very fun though, it was my weapon of choice :).
An earlier post said it was a great defensive weapon which is very true. I've only been had a few times by one in this build because no ones uses them. But when I have, the merc was defending an objective. I didn't stand a chance at close range which is how it should be.
As it stands it really doesn't have much place in the game right now, but as Dust starts to get more flushed out I think the breach will start to find its rightful place in the battlefield.
I could possibly see a slightly larger mag or maybe 5-8m more range. But anymore than that then it will slowly turn into an assualt rifle with a different ROF.
We need to keep the diversity even though there's a lot of trade offs, in the right situation , the breach can be a beast. |
