After going back and playing other big name FPS's and several lesser known ones for the console. I dont think the current controller sensitivity and general fluidity is satisfactory for a console FPS. I have however played it with mouse and keyboard, and it plays just fine and if i had the ability to use that set up without having to re arrange my room to use KB/M.... i would.
But my main gripe is how it feels to play DUST. Its slow and takes forever to turn around, even with sensitivity to 0 it takes ages. But even though it takes forever to look anywhere, its still jumpy? I dont know if its a dead zone issue, but it seems to bump along then move smoothly.
The movement, and aiming feels like its capped, and the analogs are not calibrated very well.
In all honesty i think the aiming and general control suck, especially for vehicles. I really hope you guys make changes to the DS3. I mean, its not like this game is a console exclusive or anything.

It's funny when looking back into further beta videos the controller use to look smoother. I know for example when your on a light gun in a tank the dot will jump from side to side instead of moving smoothly but still quickly to where you want to aim. Oddly older beta seemed to have this down, same with the assault rifle it use to have 0 kick thank god and movie nicely and smoothy to where you needed to shoot. Now the kick is ridiculous and it can be hard to get on dot with an enemy. |

A guns recoil is a guns recoil. Thats something people have to get used to. But when you choose to use the DS3, you essentially dont have a satisfactory control setup to be able to counteract that recoil reliably. |
