Ok so I've been pretty much firing the laser without stopping since continuous firing increases damage. Sometimes I fire and if I stop I reload and continue firing non stop, always to overheat. Am I doing this wrong? I heard laser damage depends on heat build up, not exclusively continuous fire. |

Yes a little mate allowing the Laser to overheat causes damage to you and if you have taken a couple of hits already can land you in a world full of hurt, Your best bet when planning on some continual fire is to occasionaly glance across at your temperature bar and if nearly at the top quickly release your trigger finger and reapply thus dissapating the heat from the laser, Thus saving yourself from Sheild and or armour damage from overheating. I find it best to deliberatly miss for a second or two before bringing to bear on my target thus doing more damage and when possible try to redeploy to another location as laser firing attracts a lot of unwanted attention from enemy snipers etc. hope it helps stay frosty:) |

These are related - continued fire leads to heat build up - so yes. |

WyrmHero1945 wrote:So you're saying laser damage depends on heat build up, not continuous fire??? No. Damage done against the enemy has nothing to do with overheat. You must fire the Laser Rifle for as long as possible before reloading, waiting for the heat to dissipate, and repeating. The heat of the weapon has nothing to do with the 'heat' inflicted by the laser. |

Got 2 statements here. Which one is right? I think this one is the correct one, makes sense to me personally.

The damage is entirely dependent on how long you have had the trigger down for. If you let go of the trigger that damage gets reset to its basic value. |

If you catch the sunlight but simply pass the concentrated light over an ant, it won't do much. But hold it on the ant, and sizzle.
