Just wanting to post a few things that even if one random reads, it will be worth it.
1. When entering a non-squad drop ship and you are on the turret, a single shot to determine the turret type is sufficient. There is not a single pilot that wants you to alert the enemy to his position by your constant firing. (this is the same for tanks). Please only shoot the turret when a target is in range.
2. If the pilot lands in a safe spot and jumps out, he is just repping it. Please do not jump into the driver seat. Nothing worse than watching 800K isk fly off while you are repairing it.
3. If there is a random Blue dot (to your view) shooting you on the turret and the pilot is not flying off. That is usually a Squad mate of the pilot and they have something planned (like killing a tank). (this is often very true of tanks as well, especially high end tanks.) Please move off the turrets, we will still be your taxi, but it might get a little hot.
4. For what ever reason it is possible to hit the wing of the drop ship with its own turrets, please try to avoid this as it makes the pilot look to see if he is getting shot at and could distract him/her enough for you both to die.
5. On the tank note, Please allow sufficient time for squad mates to fill up a tank if they are trying to do so. It will benefit the whole team as that squad will earn Orbitals faster. Nothing worse than randoms jumping into a tank that your squad mate brought it. If you are sprinting after a tank to get in it and he is not stopping. Don't worry he sees you, he just does not want you in it.
6. Tank surfing...when you stand on top of a tank you are blocking the view of the driver and the turret of the "commanders" seat. Please refrain from this, yeas it looks cool, but ridding on the outside of a bullet magnet will not be very isk efficient for you.
7. If you are on a rail gun instillation, do not shoot at a friendly drop ship. Friendly fire from rail guns and forge guns do no damage but can make the ship go out of control.
thanks guys add more if you want. |

Also (mainly for dropships and LAVs)- watch your heat while firing the turret. It forces the driver to retreat if the turret can't fire. It will also get you FAR more kills if you don't overheat it. |

As a dedicated tanker, I concur & approve of this message.
Should be a sticky.
+1
Ah and to continue on this note:
If you see a dedicated tank winning the match, don't drop a soma/sica. 1- you'll blow up, fast. 2 - your honestly just in the way. 3 - you'll loose isk. 1 "proper" tank is enough. 4 - Your interfering with orbi's.
If your a shield tank or LAV and your approaching an armor tank/stopping in front of it. 1 - if we collide you die, not trying to be mean but I loose inertia when I stop.... = bad. I won't stop.... 2 - raming a friendly armor tank will LAVs will just get you killed. 3 - You might be blocking line of fire, try not to...
Fly safe

Dear Gunners in my tank. If I roll up to an enemy point and we blow up all the enemies and have no teammates nearby please jump out of my tank and cap the point.
I like you in my tank, I really do. However we need to cap that kitten point and I'm not jumping out of my 400k-1m investment to do so. |
