Think of them as a long-term investment in terms of what you'll get in return for ISK.

I, along with many others I'm sure, will give you a much better offer than 1.5 mil for 25 suits or whatever. That's chump change. Just wait until the player market opens and then see what price people are willing to pay, because you can bet it will be much higher than this.
