I am a heavy so dont think this is why im thinking this all together. The more and more i see it the shield suits have a natrule edge on the armor suits due to the fact that shields rep faster than amor and thats all fine and good but what if you changed the armor reps from there 2, 3, 5 into a 2%, 3%, 5%? the number is still lower but would make some things just a little more balanced due to the fact that a scout with a shotgun can go kill two ppl barely get hit run away and rep there 100+ armor in no time flat and on the flip side the armor heavys with there 812 armor with two 5 armor reps on will most likely die because they will rep so slow, and yes we all know a logi is nice so dont just say play with a logi.... there is still a sense of haveing to play by yourself. and also a shield recharger that charges 42% faster.... a 5% really isnt that hard to justify. |

Being a logi I approve of this message. It takes so long to fully rep a heavy when I can get a scout or assault repaired in seconds I am forced out into the open with the heavies (its where they belong). If I could repair faster I wouldn't be in nearly as much danger as I am in now.
Also wouldn't hurt if heavies didn't run out into the open with less than half armor and expect me to keep them alive. Even with my meta 7 repair tool it still takes a dreadfully long time and in combat even more so. |

You are aware that periods are supposed to be used at the end of sentences, not paragraphs. Right? |

I think it would be a better idea if you get a base rep rate of lets say 5hp/sec and on top of that 2% per 50hp So heavies would get 5hp +32hp |

What? Time to repair a scout = time to repair a heavy
Really?
Now there has to be a reason to skill into higher tier repair tools. You might argue that they would have an increased %. But then that makes it a god tool for heavies and HAVs. There's nothing wrong with the current system and it reflects how things with less HP would get repaired faster, which is logical. I mean if it could repair a heavy in five seconds, why would it take five seconds to repair a scout? |

I don't want it to take the same amount of time. I just don't want to be in the thick of things with my logi trying to repair that heavy. A repair rate based on the percentage of remaining armor. So it heals faster the more damaged you are but slower as you get closer to full health. To often am I spent repairing the heavy and my repair tool can only get to 2 people at once and others start dropping.
It is almost more beneficial to let the heavy fall because my injector brings them back with 80% armor. |

No, I play as I heavy and I say no.
Armor repairs never stop repairing unlike shields which have a delay.
What they need to do is increase the % on that skill book from 3% per lvl to 5% per lvl. |

The armor rep skill DECREASES cycle time for reps so instead of repping per second you are repping at less than a second for each of those cycles.
This gets pretty awesome when running a max skilled armor rep. 5/hp every .85 seconds is crazy nice. |

I disagree with your view. The whole point of armor repping is that it is low, giving an incentive to use logibro with an armor repairer. A heavy with 800 hp, repping at 5% would mean he'd get back to full health in what ? 20 seconds ? 20 seconds to restore 800 HP ? Especially as armor rep work non stop, even under fire, and with no delay when being hit.
That's 40HP per sec repaired. 80 HP repaired with two repairers. And what ? 100HP with skills bonuses ?
That's a "make any armor dude OP" suggestion.
I started a thread about armor rep way back, 2-3 builds ago. And in the end, i agreed with the fact that armor rep should be slow.

Nope disagree with the premise about repping over time. Shields can rep burst damage a little better, but logis can rep a suit for i think around 40-50 dps right now with practically no delay, infinitely, and 2 at a time. Not to mention standing on top of a healing nanohive which reps 20-30 per cycle depending on which one you are on.
Also when you factor in delay to repping, over time with the max amount of aggression that you can employ as a shield tank, you are really looking at <20 shield HP/s repping (averaged over a whole game) unless you have at least one recharger and complex regulators.
In other words, armor tanks can very easily take more damage over a whole game than a shield tank IF they have a logi supporting them. And a logi supporting a shield tank is sub optimal. |

I did some math so if someone is hitting you with an ar at 31 dmg per shot at 750 rpm perfect accuracy is about 381 dps.
Now add in 25% accuracy your around 90 some dps... at 15% about 58ish...
The heavy I mentikned above would take 8dps per second from someone at 15% and 40 dps from someone at 25% (low end yes but most people are not amazing with accuracy)
It would take the realy bad gamer over a minute to down the heavy and the 25% around 25 seconds to down him.
OP idea is op.
Not to mention the skills I mentioned meaning you could just aalk around almost on god mode.
Unless someone were to alpha your 1k hp... stack 2 armor reps.... lol you sirry. |
