if you factor in the skills you will see that damage mods >shields i just want them to work like it says they are ment to, its wouldn't be hard to fix either the wording or how they actually work. |

Shield extenders >damage mods.
Also, just because there's a display error in the fittings screen doesn't mean stacking penalties aren't working in game.
Even without stacking penalties, shield extenders >damage mods nearly always. |

No. If you factor in skills, the math works out exactly the same.
Unless you do something dumb like calculate skills for one person but not the other. But we're not that dumb, are we? |

I personally see no reason why anyone should ask for the damage mods (on dropsuits anyway) to have the penalty reintroduced. (Although I'm confused, does that link apply to vehicle and dropsuit damage mods or only vehicle mods?)
Anyway, one who stacks damage mods are fragile as anything (sacrificing HP for raw power is a good balance) while one who stacks shields and with the proper skills leveled will tear apart those who stack damage mods. (Not so much balanced considering shields regen pretty fast and these players are still dishing out good levels of damage at the proto level).
If the penalty is to be reapplied (assuming it already doesn't), damage mods will lose any effectiveness compared to someone who stacks shields. Then the next thing you know is that people will be crying for shield extender nerfs. |

Sounds to me like they've been working all along. I know CCP's post tend to be a bit vague and misleading, but that's what I took from that. I always figured they were fine. Curious to know what everyone is going to start blaming now when they get killed.

so just to break it down If your in a Tank you suck, if you stack dmg mods you suck,if you run heavy forge and pew pew infantry you suck,if you use an AR or Mass Driver you suck lol so far the only thing i havnt seen or heard to many complaints about are snipers sucking, I must work harder at this give me more people to 1 shot pew pew with my sniper please :) heck lets get the SMGs involved in this suck fest to XD
