Strategy is clear now. Although this was always a P2W game - which is fine CCP can do it if they want, it wasn't clear just how much P2W would be the tail wagging the dog.
Taking money in a beta, the only announcements are about P2W items, no ISK market etc.
Amazing short term view.
Either more people are queuing up for this stuff that we could possibly imagine or the claw back of money already spent by CCP knows no bounds. |

I'm in NZ.
Our marketplaces for most PSN-related things are tied to the EU version, but usually even more limited and with higher prices.
In DUST, the price at least is consistent.
And after another downtime, still no CQC Scouts. |

Yeah, I've looked on the marketplace and didn't see them either, so there was a snafu somewhere. It might be my fault for spreading the word prematurely. I'll get to the bottom of this.
As for stuff that's NOT in the marketplace, we've got blogs and other information coming about that soon. |

P2W is where you can buy an insurmountable advantage over others *only* by spending real money. It becomes absolutely necessary to buy the advantage if you want to complete on an even playing ground.
This is not present in Dust.
Every single Aurum item is beaten by one or more isk items in the same class.
Bleating about Dust being P2W just makes you look the fool. |

No, you're not.
You're pointing in the general direction of your enemy and managing to kill him before he reacts to your presence, or you're getting lucky. That is not the same as aiming.
And Dust has FPS issues two minutes after the first match launches. It doesn't get rid of those issues until you completely reboot the system, and it gets worse over time thanks to a fun memory leak and the PS3 having a pathetic amount of ram to work with.
Then again, if you ask me, any game that runs at 30 FPS is by itself an issue. Whoever set that as the industry standard should be punched in the face twice and fed to a tiger.
And Dust doesn't even make it to 30 FPS lol. |
