I'm not gonna go into super deep detail here, but just something to put on the table. It seems calling in a non-milita tank chassis is disproportionate and not quite worth it. (Sica is roughly the same as gunnlogi, but almost twice the price)
Suggestion, either lower the price on the tanks. (seen that one a lot)
Or more ideally, you can make the higher grade tanks that coat 1.5 million-ish proportionatly better than the low grades. Give them much more CPU/power grid with a minor/moderate increase in Shields/armor. this way players can add better modules, making it so that the tanks have potential to be much better without just giving it to the player outright. This would also address the arguing between players about what should strong and weak with AV. If you do this milita tanks will keep that relatively squishy aspect while retaining some effectiveness. At the sane time, the more expensive tanks will not only have a clear advantage over lesser tanks (if fully fit) but will also seem like they can take a hit from the AV crowd before have to retreat/die. Thus making them seem much more worth the sp/isk.. And as a final note putting the biggest advantage in higher tanks with the CPU/PG (maybe talking near double from soma/sica to sagaris/Surya) adds responsibly to to pilot/driver to actually have to be conscience with his modules to make it better. (i.e. Fully fit sica> barely fit sargaris).

The extra two fitting slots on a Gunnlogi allow it to practically double the eHP of a Sica. They're hardly "practically the same". The base hull also only costs an extra 70k or so, a 50% increase over the Sica.
The marauder/black ops/whatever they are HAVs will probably end up with some specialized capabilities to distinguish them and (maybe) justify their cost. There's an old devblog that talks about them getting siege modules, though it doesn't describe what exactly that does. |

The prob with the gunnlogi is that even with it's extra slots, the CPU/pg doesn't go up enough to allow you to add anything particularly good to it... But actually the dif between tier 1 and 2 is almost worth it, but the dif between tier 2 and 3 is not remotely close to what it should be. :/ |

They are just going to weaken the power of militia tanks. Problem is people need to get attached to the game. spending even 150000 isk on a tank is alot about a whole match worth. The only way its going to work is if these weak tank drivers are not playing against elite fighters cause their little excursion will last a total of 1 minute if that. improve matchmaking. Always. |

Tanks need work.... especially shield tanks. A good SOMA can take out an advanced shield tank. They need another high slot and some extra pg or make shield hardeners last 60 seconds like the armor versions. |

I would agree with this except ur a mercenary. Instant battles are ok at random. The corp battles are a good way to chose ur battles when it really matters. |

I've noted that armor tanks have better efficiency with blasters (which is the only turret worth a damn right now. I've also noticed that armor tanks are slower (especially in acceleration) making them less efficient at taking on infantry (ducking your tank behind cover before missles hit is important). In short i'm trying to say shield tanks counter infantry better. Armor has an edge on other armor though. |

You people are insane your going to completely op marauder tanks your all fools because you dont quite understand how EVE/Dust prices work higher grade items will give a slighty higher boost for a signifigant more amount of isk. This is how the game works in EVE it is how it should work in Dust plus the marauder takes come with more pg, cpu, an extra high or low slot, extra shield or armor, and a bonus to marauder damage which is mostly useful on the gallente tank. The price is justified people whining about it is not. |
