It's one of the most serious balance bugs of the current build because finding (or not finding) a hidden uplink you know the rough deployment area of can change the flow of a whole match.

You put down a new one and cancel out the old one, run out of spawns for it, or it gets shot. That's it. There's no known bug for them just evaporating early.
