Holy crap, fix it already! I thought the spawns were mostly fine until now with people just trading shots back and forth betwewn certain points. This is not always the case however...
Yesterday I played a match that saw SIX reds spawn into a corner facing away from our massive group of mercs. Needless to say they were all destroyed.
Next, my own team were spawning behind just ONE ROCK and we were eliminated by the other team using mass drivers. There are so many more examples but add your own.
This could easily be fixed by adding mechanic to spawn on team members. |

"An ambush is a long-established military tactic, in which the aggressors (the ambushing force) take advantage of concealment and the element of surprise to attack an unsuspecting enemy from concealed positions, such as among dense underbrush or behind hilltops. Ambushes have been used consistently throughout history, from ancient to modern warfare."
The only part of that definition that fits is the element of surprise. However when taken in context it hardly applies, mainly as the element of surprise used in an ambush is simply that the enemy is unaware of any enemies at all, not that enemies are about to appear in front of them and "holy nutballs it's our lucky day!"
Ambush is not the enemy being in front of you with their backs turned unable to even see anything on their screen until they have to respawn again. |

it's not perfect but it's better then it was, the real problem in ambush is watching 5 fully specced tanks trolling the blue dots lol.
I can't do much better since i'm not an av fit, but I see no reason to spawn in that game either.
tip to all new players, your AR can't kill a 6000 shield gunlogi. also if you had some idea to try to use a default tank against the 5 specced out tanks, that won't work either, unlike militia gear in ground fights, when it comes to tanks you really need to be specced or don't bother.
if you are in a macth against tanks do not engage unless you are an av fit, stay away from it, you will die and you will cost your team 10 clones till you learn that lesson
tanks are counter or lose, and without a counter the game may as well not even started, if the team sizes were 36 or even larger, pretty sure you'd see less tanks due to more av being on the ground, but with 16, it's really unlikely to bring enough AV to the field to deal with that many tanks, especially in ambush where we don't have supply depots. |
