I know alot of people who have fun and prefer to just completely destroy the other team. Me on the otherhand, I love close games where both teams are neck and neck, both teams having like 5 clones left each. I had a couple close games with other corp squads(internal error, zion, hellstorm, sver true blood) today that were a blast. Its nice to see full squads on the other team and gets me excited for the fight. Do you guys get the same excitement when you are about to go up against other corp squads. Also its a bonus when you fight other forum members. |

Though because of my skill I'm use to it but I absolutely hate red lining teams... it's so boring. so I agree close games are way more enjoyable. |

I like close games, for them to be close usually means you were playing good players and it makes you better IMO. |

I've played a handful of matches recently that came down to less than 10 (a couple less than 5) clones in Ambush.
Also, Skirmish games that come right down to the wire are awesome. |

One of the best games I had was On a Skirmish map both MCC's were down to the last few ticks of armour, clone were down to last 10 and wiht only a minute left in the match, was brilliant in the last few moments everyone focused hard and orginised naturally into two groups trying to keep everyone alive as possible.
eventually the last clone went down with only a few seconds to spare and one last hit on the mcc in there favour.
Matches dont get much more intense then that and was on public looking forward to these situation in corp matches where they matter a bit more |

Was a good close battle all the way through. |

Actually it means Mrs. Matchmaker got it right.
I think out of 25 games yesterday two were close, the rest were total romps. I was on giving and receiving end.
I enjoy a close game...especially when you're the guy that bags the last clone to win! |

Agreed, close games are much better, I think thats why people have been screaming at CCP to get some sort of matchmaking system set up. Redlining is only slightly more fun than being redlined, both suck, especially if redlining occurs near the beginning of a skirmish. Hopefully, faction warfare and merc contracts help clear this up and ambush and skirmish become what they are meant to be, what one does to grind ISK and to mess around in between real battles *clears throat* got that CCP....merc contracts and FW...soon (without the TM) |

Hell yeah, I'd much rather be in a close game. I hate not having someone to shoot at in a match because they hide in the hills when redlined or won't move out past the redline because we all move to it and sit on it when it does happen.
Alot of the time though it seems that the red lined team just doesn't want to shoot anymore if they get pushed back that far. IE AFKed after the RL or before. If anyone has any suggestions on how to deal with the AFKers please help us out. I'd be willing to say that 20-50% of the time, when redlined, the team on the losing end has more than one of "Those Guys" on it. |
