Reading through the fourms, I see some people here saying the Gauss rifle is this

"tuning the new CA rifle" (They never said Gauss yet?, hmmm)
What about the MK25?

Well, it is confirmed. Third post on CCP Cmdr Wang on "Weapon customization" https://forums.dust514.com/default.aspx?g=posts&m=315202#post315202 Not sure when it will be fully function-able, maybe next build.
I just want to see the MK25 being the Gauss rifle but the new one is not bad. (I know it is not but I first thought the new CA rifle was a shotgun first :Shrugs:) |

The developers did say the game was 'already capable' of having weapon attachments but stated that they wanted to make it 'right' before putting it in and don't have the resources to do that now.
So what does that mean? probably lack of art assests, item purposes, ui, skill books if any, and of course extending it to every weapon and not just single special case out a certain weapon. |

Was going to name my pistols love and tolerance. or maybe something badass/less silly/ possibly more silly.

While the gun is somewhat interesting I found myself looking at the stuff on his desk more.
That doesn't look like a BIC lighter which are without a doubt the best disposable lighters, tsk tsk paper cup, lol cute red pony in the background. |

I don't think it's a disposable, I think I can make out a refill valve on the bottom of it. |

We already have rail guns why get a gauss gun when we have rail guns which are more efficient at moving a projectile at high speeds. Its like using a musket when the M-14 is sitting beside it. |

Because the Railgun is a Sniper Rifle and the Gauss Rifle is rapid-fire. |

The in game info says it is a marvel to make a railgun small as the sniper or forge. This suggests it is a new development, gauss was probably the weapon used before infantry rails.
Like the automatic rifle being around in wwii, but most troops using semi-auto. Rails are used by Caldari specialists, guass by the regular troops. Like the few guys in wwii squad with submachine gun or bar while most used m1 rifles. |

If you look at the railgun installations in game it reads CA railgun. Wheres my GA railgun ccp? |
