It might be a feature, as in AR section you will find 'Codewish' Duvolle Tactical to also be PRO weapon with ADV fitting req. (AUR only) Tactical AR, this is Assault SP... Might be on purpose. |

It's not necessarily wrong. The officer sniper rifle has a much lower CPU/PG usage than the other proto SRs. |

thought I replied to this already...
in any case dont have my PS3 with me right now so cant check but it comes down to this
keep in mind these are all ISK bought items on the market place, no officer or AUR involved
STD Pistol CPU/PG = X ISK = Y STD Assault Pistol CPU/PG = X+2 ISK = Y +10000
ADV Pistol CPU/PG = X*1.5 ISK = 3Y ADV Assault Pistol CPU/PG = X*1.5 + 2 ISK = 3Y +20000
PRO Pistol CPU/PG = X*2 ISK = 10Y PRO Assault Pistol CPU/PG = X*1.5 + 2 ISK = 10Y + 50000
obviously the numbers are completely wrong but it gets the point across, there was a progression of cost for ISK and CPU/PG use until we drop the Carthum Assault Scrambler Pistol and suddenly I can use a better weapon for the same CPU/PG as the lower tier if I am willing to fork out the cash for it
again this favors me, the first time I used it I went ridiculously well, running around holding Charlie on the 4 corners/tabletop map by myself against 5-6 really pissed off red dots. i was using a A series Scout with 2 Carthums, 2 complex shields, basic A-Rep, Basic Plates, and a Basic Nanohive.
I would really prefer it not get fixed and wil enjoy that load out whenever I feel like risking a ton of ISK for lols
but in the interest of this is a beta and things like that are suppose to be reported I have reported it |

Some types of Weapons (Assault, Burst) operate the same way across Weapon Types. The Burst Scrambler, Burst AR and Burst HMG all behave in a similar fashion. Less damage, higher RoF yet all AR variants (not just the Burst) available at Tier 2 cost the same 5.8K.
Check out the Shield Hardeners under Vehicle Modules. The best one draws less CPU and provides more protection.
Shield Hardener 1: CPU/PG is 45/5, 25% damage reduction at 5K Extended Shield Hardener: 50/5 for 27% @ 5.5K Surge Shield Reinforcement: 45/5 for 30% @ 6.2K
Look at Weapons Upgrade (damage modifiers) and note that the Last items are 40 AUR and have no ISK equivalents. Just another oddity in the system.
Sometimes the progression and thus the cost are connected to the Reduction of CPU/PG at a particular level. And sometimes they don't make complete sense and it really doesn't matter that much. You have simply noticed the effect in Scrambler Pistols.
It will be interesting to see how this plays out once the EVE players are able to buy/sell items in the Assets section of the Market. Don't forget that one of the stated goals if for EVE players to manufacture and sell items for DUST consumption by Mercs. |
