I trained up to it to see the specific specialization that is unlocked at lvl 5......and cannot see anything new other than the -10% to my scan?? Am I missing something?
On another note...are the lvl 2 suits basically the same as lvl 1. I have the lvl 1 mimitar logi suit and was going to upgrade to lvl 2 but couldn't see any real difference between them other than the isk cost....
Is this common practice in CCP to make lvl 1 basic and lvl 2 not an improvement really but lvl 3 is a big step up??
And lastly something completely off the current topic. What is the point that the orbital strike is unlocked. I have heard a few things but nothing I know for sure...does it change with each mode? any insight or link to this would be useful Thanks in advace |

Do you mean Dropsuit Command? That gives you a 5% reduction in scan profile per level, which is pretty nice. Odds are it will also be a prerequisite for more advanced suits in the future. |

For an OB, your squad's WP need to total 2500 and the squad leader will earn additional ones for every 2500WP after that.
The differences between t1-t2 suits is typically either more equipment, different slot layout, or switching between shield/armor based. |

Not yet implemented.
You can see every item available for sale and every skill that is in the game. Nothing is hidden from you so you can do research before investing skill points.
Keep in mind that the current build was for stability and gameplay. We're all impatiently waiting for the content release which is supposed to follow it.

In EVE, you often need to have Level 5 in at least one base skill in order to train the specialization skills needed to operate a Tech 2 ship. I'm pretty sure that the specialized dropsuits will be Dust's equivalent of Tech 2.
For instance, in order to fly a Gallente Covert Ops ship ("Nemesis"), you need:
- Gallente Frigate V
- Spaceship Command I
- Covert Ops I
- Spaceship Command III
- Electronics Upgrades V
- Electronics II
- Engineering II
Notice that there are TWO skills at Level V there.
My guess is that you will need Dropsuit Operation V, (Racial) (Style) Dropsuit III or V, and (Specialized) Dropsuit I to use the Tech 2 dropsuits.

my theory for tech II dropsuits (titan heavy, cov ops scout ect) will be dropsuit V racial suit V and then the tech II skill I then the specialist equipment used on the suits will probs require insane skills as well like circuitry V and some sensor skills to V for a cloak. getting a basic skill liek dropsuit, weaponry, field mechanic ect wont be a waste in the long run, trust me after 9yr in eve i've learned that |

And that's just to fly. To be good at using a nemesis you have to have cloaking, bomb launcher operations, navigation and a slew of so many damn skills and desired to them at max its not even funny. |

That's why it was so fun to shoot people who jumped right into their newest class of ships that they can barely fit and fly. Its like they scream shoot me as they fly around. |

We are probably some ways off from "T2" suits.
If you'll look closely at all the suits, there are two basic... let's call them "flavors" of suits for each class. Like the assault suit has a shield tanky one and a armor tanky one. Every two levels of your dropsuit skill, you go up to the next class of suit, from standard, to advanced, to proto. |

Barring some sort of disaster CCP has said repeatedly that there are no more resets. We are live, just with an incomplete game. I can see a partial refund of SP spent on skills if the skill tree was changed but not a 100% refund or reset and definitely no resets for Aurum spent.

I disagree, at least in the sense of "specialist" suits being "Tech 2". We've seen several indications that there are suits like the "Shrike", "Infiltrator", "Berserker", etc. coming Soon(TM).
These are already in the item database on Tranquility:
