Here's what I put in the comments section on the E-mail survey. Anybody feel the same way with any of this?
"I have noticed a "linking" problem with the in-game mail and the notifications on the chat menu. When I delete mail in my mail box, the same message remains in the notification panel. If I go to open the E-mail in the notifications panel, while thinking it may be a different message, I get kicked from the server and out of the game, which is fairly irritating.
I have a suggestion regarding the "squad" system. When I go create a squad and try and add contacts to it, it will not send the invite to the other player. My friend has the same problem when trying to send me an invite to his squad. I wasn't able to find any information on your website about how to properly do this, and I noticed that it is a common problem cited in the website forums. It would be great if this was easier to do, or at least explained in-game or on an online FAQ.
I have another suggestion regarding player creation. I think it's great that there are a few races and sub-classes to choose from, but it would be nice if my race and class were included in the character info along with the corporation info. If I have friends that want to be the same kind of character I am, it'd be much easier to have them reference my character info to find that out. Also, I think it would be a good idea to let the players choose which corporation to join, instead of auto-assigning them. Some may want to join a larger corp, while others may be happier playing with a small corp.
Aside from my nit-picking, I think this is a pretty fun game as a beta, and I see a lot of potential in it. After a few more tweaks, this could be a sci-fi FPS that I would recommend to my friends." |

Your character bio sheet will eventually have all of this information along with an employment history and other information (SoonGäó)
You are assigned to a NPC corporation upon creation of your character, the corporation that you are assigned to is dictated by your race, and subculture within that race. Other than that, you DO join a corporation of your choosing provided said corporation that you have to apply to, accepts your application.
There is a bug that will stop you from sending squad invites, and thusly your contacts will not get them. Perhaps you and your friend both have experienced this bug at the same time. Doing a soft restart of the game usually fixes this.
The in game email system still needs work, we all know this, this game is still beta after all and minor bugs like that are annoying but tolerated.
Larger issues like game play mechanics, propper matchmaking, more game modes, player market, and othe such things are a more pressing issue right now because they are things that will actually turn a player base away. The occasional boot from the game (personally I haven't had that happen yet because of game mail) is nothing compared to what we used to have to deal with.
