Missile turrets, both large and small need a buff. As of right now, they are not useful for anything other than installation popping, and that can be done as effectively with a swarm launcher.
So, to make them competitive, I suggest a very slight guidance system be built into each missile that allows it to make very minor course corrections while in flight. This would be like auto aim for missiles. Only very small course corrections though, they don't need to chase people and vehicles, they just need to be able to slightly turn, like maybe 3-5 degrees.
And large cycled missiles need to fire faster. As they are, there is no point in getting them. |

CCP once planned for Missile Turrets to be some sort of Anti-Air. Now, they are probably the worst turret for Anti-Air.
Giving Missile Turrets some homing, holmes!
Better yet, they can make two separate Missile Turrets: A missile turret that can lock-on and shoots high-yield homing missiles, and a rocket turret that shoots high-velocity dumb salvos. |

I would love to seem them as a powerful lock on weapon for AV, because right the vehicles are missing a powerful (lock on) weapon.... |

Here is a totally insane idea!
Fix the Freaking Missile Turrets someone bloody well broke the last time the Nerf Hammer was aimed at them! No Buff would be needed. Think of the time savings. Once they are fixed, an announcement in some mystical location buried deep within the bowels of these Forums would let the Mercs know their wishes for a Buff have been successful. What they would never need to know is all that happened was the initialization of the Missile Objects Vector was done correctly and maybe even the Math as well! Wild, wild, wild ideas I tell ya.
Wow, my imagination just runs amok with the possibilities. Two missiles would leave from a Turret and they would follow the Same Track and not spread out over 60 degrees with no movement by the vehicle, turret, gunner or anything else in the entirety of DUST. Almost like Missile Turrets used to work.
More ideas just pour from my mind but they all boil down to - quit breaking things that work. |

Cycled Turrets: I'm not sure what you are saying is broken. At least for the small ones, they are 2x as fast and only 80% as damaging as the standard launcher at their level. This means that they can actually have the best DPS of any launcher. I killed a Gunlogi with one yesterday. Got through his remaining 25% shield and all his armor in seconds. It was in my Battle Methana. |

large ones only get a .3 sec difference between cycled and normal |

there is no reason a missile turret should be weaker than a swarm launcher- which is smaller. it needs a range increase. |

i support the earlier idea of minor tracking.
and to make it better the first thing they would steer toward [if fired in the direction of] is the biggest thing, that way the tracking cant be abused to pick of unsuspecting red dots around the tank on purpose... and give the missile instalations a chance against tanks.
and i think they should either have a bit more splash range, splash damnage, or firing range... or maybe a combination of all three, because the Swarm launchers have a [overly done] tracking system and hit harder than any of the turrets, large or small |
