Well for one, it doesn't really do much as far as I can tell so my suggestion will hopefully add some interesting functions.
How about this: We could pay corp members a percentage of the wallet every so often, or even a certain amount? Players could also fund the wallet with a percentage of their winnings to help other, less fortunate members of the corp? This could help a lot with certain areas of balance and also give rise to some kind of player run job system.
Maybe you're lucky enough to have 20 members in your corp, you are an elite armoured division with 10 expert tank drivers and two dropship pilots. The rest roll in the dropships, hacking ground objectives and taking out the sneaky enemies. The ground troops may lose 50k per death for a well fitted dropsuit whereas if you lose a single tank or dropship you're talking 500k +
The ground troops could donate a portion of their winnings to the corp wallet to pay for the players who drive the expensive tanks. The ground troops could get maybe 10k from the corp wallet per match (as well as usual winnings) and drivers or pilots could get 50k+.
I know this sounds like a bit of a jumble of ideas and it's probably not coming across as I want it to but I'm more of a visual person so...

CEO and Director roles allow those Corp members access to the wallet. They can gift money to themselves and others within the Corporation at their discretion. Corporation members can freely donate their ISK - if and when they have ISK to spare - to the Corp.
The Corp Wallet is also the method by which Corp Battles are funded, and the account into which the winnings from such battles are paid. In future, there will probably be tools for "taxing" the income of Corp members, taking a portion of their winnings from each battle and putting it instead into the Corp Wallet, and (hopefully) a way to set up a "retainer" on an individual or a corp-wide basis so that members are paid for spending time as members, or for contributing in battle. This can be done manually at present, if a Corp chooses to do so, but it would be nice to see some of these processes automated. |

I am the CEO of my own corp and I haven't seen those options, are they new (past two weeks)?
The main idea here is to set up jobs for people to do, giving money to those who run more expensive fits etc, kind of like the difference between a surgeon and GP. A surgeon gets paid more because of the risk etc. |

These options have existed nearly as long as corporations themselves.
You go to your corp info page in-game and you have an option to donate isk. From the corp members list you can select individuals to gift isk to.
This can't currently be done automatically though. Also corp taxation is a system that is in development. |

My other ideas still stand though, I would especially like to be able to set job positions for corp members and pay them accordingly. |
