Block them on contacts if htey continue to spam you on purpose file a petition on the www.dust514.com website by logging in on that page and then selecting character to submit the petition.
Use as much useful data as possible such as when, who, and measures you've taken to avoid the spam.
But seriously Dust 514 needs CPSA charges. |

You mean a certain CEO of the "largest corp in dust?" (no its not Zion). Where the mail starts with "urgent transmission"? And asking if you want to join his corp? And if you dont hes going to declare war against you? If so ive encountered this "CEO" aswell. And yeah he is american and plays a contraban. |

In one game I noticed we had a PROfessional red rodent problem of 14 of those spammers.
Solution?
Four jeeps in a conga line with three heavies in each jeep and HMG as a must have.

Clone count at end of match was 70 blue and 00 reds.......LOL!!!
Too bad I forgot to film.
Promise to try and have the camera handy if there is another red rodent PROblem...lol!!

I most say, at 1st impression i felt a bit special.... Got a E-mail to join a corp, WoW!! I most be getting better. Then i saw that the E-mail was forwarded to another 100 people, and not just me.
I does work, any new guys that gets a E-mail like that, will most likely join. |

I agree. I'm tired of hearing every 5 minutes "hey that alliance sent me a recruitment message"
It's a standardized crap and the only advice given to "stop receiving those message" is to declare war to them or join a specific alliance.
I mean, what the hell !!! My guys and i are the ones supposed to do something so we dont receive obvious SPAM ?!

And it's not just about the spam, it's about all the explanation, I NEED, to do afterwards. It's both a disrespectful and dumb method to try and recruit players.... Do what everybody else does ! Use forums or specific targeted recruitment.

Clones in our corp have received these...*ahem* "borg" recruitment spam mail lately as one of our cloners put it. It gives us a laugh, but I think the last one was the one that made our CEO go "Come at me bro!"
Doesn't look like we're not alone on that front either, hah! |

Seriously guys, Here is what I am going to do for you all. I will modify my recruitment messages to include instructions on how to put me on their block list. This way they will no longer have to endure my polite and unobtrusive messages, additionally, If anyone messages me (from this point forward saying STOP MESSAGING ME, or the other hateful replies I sometimes get (we get LOTS of positive messages as well), I will place them on MY BLOCK list in EVE so that I can easily see and avoid these people.
This means that if you ever receive a message from me in the future, if you take the appropriate measures, you will NOT ever see it again.
Have a good day and stuff eh. |

that's all good and nice but why should anyone have to do something to avoid being mail spammed in a video game ? Why shouldnt you be the one to just stop mass messaging people without even checking if they're already in a corp ?
And honestly, we do not care if it's effective as it's none of our business. This is a simple matter of being respectfull.
Also, you take pride in sending a polite message ? It's kinda mandatory in my book.
and to be clear, there's no hate there.. But try and picture how unpleasant this would become if every corp just starts doing the same thing because "hey, those are doing it, why shouldnt i ?". It will become a giant spam fest..
So instead of trolling people with brilliant punchline such as "call your mommy" maybe people should try and think a bit ahead....

being leader of the largest active npc corp must mean a lot of taxes are coming your way. If I was a terribad player like you I would do the same thing. Least you will be able to afford proto gear with all those taxes you collect. |
