MY TANK: I'm REALLY sick of it being blown up by ONE SINGLE GRENADE!! A one-hundred thousand-ISK tank should NOT be taken down by a single AV grenade. Three or four - sure - maybe, but my tank WITH SHIELDING bonus activated gets BOOMED from a danged grenade EVERY match! A tank is MOBILE ARMOR; its suppose to withstand grenades and such. It's not just a semi-immune-to-riffle-fire vehicle.
Its really erking me, people. Something has to be done.
And before anyone posts about WHICH kind of tank I drive...SCREW you, clone! It doesn't matter! Even the Militia Tank should not blow up from ONE SINGLE default-loaded grenade! Armor-bonus or shield-bonus tank should NOT explode from one grenade!
Yes. Jump on top of a tank, shove a grenade into the manhole and BOOM but that can't happen in DUSK514. So...

Look knucklehead, I'm a tanker and my current one is 605,000 ISK and even I don't sit tight when 1 AV goes off on me, I play conservative and support the infantry. My philosophy is that Blaster tanks and Missile tanks (Missile partially though) should be infantry support weapons... in other words, Infantry killers and nothing else. Be safe, fire from distance, and just kill infantry. Railguns are the anti tank and installation weapons and even MORE so than the others should. Don't charge haphazardly into the thick of the fighting. AND EVEN MORE SO THAN ALL OF THE TEXT BEFORE THIS...
Skill into tanking, don't just get the militia and go. It's that simple.

I'm new to tanking and currently drop 1 militia tank per battle, and will continue to do so untill i feel comfortable dropping a mil + isk tank. I have never ever ever been killed by a single AV granade, 2 yes but never 1. You cant just sit there and expect to not die in your militia tank. Try moving, try using your modules. |
