Lots of people have been saying that scouts need some attention as other suits can do everything they do, better. For the most part they are correct.
For the stealthy assassin types, I think what would strengthen scouts the most would be a stamina/move speed buff. Not a lot, but enough to give them a slightly greater advantage in the area scouts should have (currently i feel that its to weak to be useful).
For the sniper types, this idea would kind of help everyone in my opinion. The problem with sniping at the moment is that you can just get line of sight from almost any distance and they light up like a beacon. I would propose that instead of that happening, have it tied to the scan profile. Things with lower scan profiles don't just immediately pop out. This would make the scan profile advantage that scouts have more useful to them, while giving more of a disadvantage to those whom snipe in other types of suits. They still have their advantages, but the scouts advantage could make them have something over the others, whereas right now they are the weakest snipers because, if they get hit they are dead. Period.
Just some ideas, would like some feedback if people like the ideas at all. |

Scouts are great. People just aren't playing to their strengths, because they're too used to the old builds where Scouts were CQC gods and goddesses loaded up with lag armour and near-immunity to enemy attempts to aim for us.
We get more speed than most, we get a MASSIVE shield regen bonus compared with anything else on the field, we get considerably faster strafe speed, and we ALREADY HAVE A HUGE ADVANTAGE IN STAMINA.
Over a short distance, sprinting side-by-side facing forwards, a Scout will only lead an Assault by a small margin, and better/more speed mods can allow the Assault to outpace the Scout. Over longer distances, the Scout will quickly take the lead because it doesn't need to lose speed as often, or for as long, when running out of stamina.
Over a short distance, strafing in the same direction, a Scout will VERY quickly outpace an Assault suit. A lot of players underestimate the advantages that Scouts have, and miss out on something awesome. |

I still feel a little bit of the lag armor as I'll often go smg vs ar in head to head and my smg will win. I wouldn't say a scout is underpowered. A bit slower than I'd like for hit and run tactics, but I could fit kinetic catalyzers instead of armor plates. It really took some getting used to when they mostly resolved hit detection because we became paper targets. I wouldn't object to more speed, but since it is such a hard call, we are probably good where we are right now. |

The idea was only to improve that slightly when it comes to the stealthy side (not by any large margin).
As for the long range one, I haven't seen any feedback on that. O.o |

What exactly can a scout suit do better? Its not sniping better that others, thats for sure. They do have a move speed buff compared to others, but its not that strong.
I play scouts and I think they are fine where they are at. they are fast and have very high mobility. Only thing they require is a change in play style. |

A lot of the time, that's not lag armour so much as good CQC skills throwing off the AR player's aim. I've done it and had it done to me, and if I'm aiming correctly when I pull the trigger, I WILL hit a Scout. It's just hard sometimes because you don't always know exactly where the target is going to move, and if you guess wrong, your AR loses all its damage because of tight grouping, while the SMG still gets some damage in while you're correcting your aim.

Or, you know, ANYTHING BUT ARMOUR PLATES instead of Armour Plates, because they provide a direct speed DEBUFF. Fitting Armour Plates to a Scout suit makes it slower than a Logi or Assault suit, while still not giving it as much protection, and using up slots that could be used for something actually worthwhile. An Assault or Logi with a Profile Dampener will literally be a better version of your suit if you're using Armour Plates on a Scout. |
