I've been running with swarms taking out endless streams of LAVs and occasional tanks and dropships since before the Codex build but I've only ever tried them with the assault. I'm now considering trying out a scout swarm fitting, so that I can sneak around better to get in good positions to take on those pesky tough tanks. Has anyone else out there tried this already? Does it work? And is it worth it?
I also realise that scout suits have significantly less CPU and PG - is it possible to still be able to fit an effective suit with ADV swarms and damage mods as well as a nanohive and flux/AV nades? |

Yes, yes, hell yes.
Depends on the suit, if not a CPU mod should do it. |

Swarm scout is my main fit. It works great once you get sp into sidearms and get use to sidearm tactics. However, when going against a tank/ds, it is still better to use assult because stacking dmg mods is still bugged. When they get it fixed, assult will just do a little bit more dmg, but within the realm of saying fudge it and sticking with scout.
edit: Yes you can fit all that, but will have to train cpu/pg skills or fit modules to boost it if youre just sticking with a standard dropsuit. |

I'd imagine a scout suit would be great if simply for the mobility aspect. When swarming a tank, I tend to have to run between a lot of cover, and slowing down for even a second can be the end of you. Health doesn't really matter when fighting a tank, it's all about speed. |

Back when there was a Militia Swarm Launcher Blueprint, I used to run Swarm Scouts ALL THE TIME.
Now they're a bit more rare for me to run, but they're still awesome. I don't often feel the need to run high-tier Swarms - I'm mostly an anti-infantry Shotgunner these days instead, and I leave the AV duties to others more often than I used to. |

Type 2 scout with Gauged Nano Hives and Remote Explosives I haven't actually trained swarm launchers at all, but I may, just to have a better answer to Armor Tanks than my Forge Heavy. |

I use the same fit with my assault suit. Works friggin great. I can pop LAV in one shot and tanks in about 3 (less if they hit my proximity mines). |

ALWAYS scout.
Anything else is giving bogeys handicap. Heck, I've even seen Swarm Logi... Even worse than the default AV Heavy suit of old... |

I would go, personally, go with a scout suit. Just so you can fire at the HAV so you can quickly get away and fire from a new location. |

I agree with the people that say SCOUT.
Your objective is to attack the enemy vehicles from a good position. So mobility is a plus. AND if we are talking about a TANK, it really doesnt matter if you are wearing assault or scout dropsuit you'll get bashed eitherway if the tank sees you...
I would go With Scout + SMG + nanohive , and try to go to high locations or stay behing friendly lines. |

Yeah I bomb a Scout with Standard Swarm and it's like the invisible bee sitng. I come out of nowhere, and unload four swarms before a reload and coupled with nanohives I am one hell of a nuisance.
Being very mobile is great for the Swarm launcher. |
