IMO, one of the problems with killing tanks is that even the most armored tank can just drive off to the nearest supply depot when ambushed, leaving behind a trail of forge heavies and AV suits scrambling to get into position.
I propose the creation of a grenade and/or proximity mine that drastically slows down the movement of vehicles.
How would it work?
The grenades would home in on vehicles just like AV grenades. When they hit, the vehicle stops, just as if it had collided with a building (except without damage). (*)
It then cannot move or turn for three seconds, after which it can drive off as normal.
Graviton prox mines would have the same effect.
How would people use them?
In a coordinated attack, one player could throw graviton grenades to stop a tank in its tracks, while everyone else lays into it with AV weapons.
However, it's of little use to a solo suit, since it doesn't do any damage.
Thoughts?
(*)I suppose if someone hits a drop ship with one, it probably should cause some collision damage as it lands with a bump. |

Bro I mostly don't try and fight post but this is a super -1 one for me my tank took so much dedication I have spent millions of skill points on maximising it. Guess what I still have some pesky little swarm launcher chasing after me getting me killed. I've had av and flux grenades on me swarm launchers and forge guns all at the same time and when I think I am going to get away I get an orbital strike dropped on me don't make my life any harder. I guess the only thing I dont agree with are flux grenades why should there be some some huge dps grenade that effects only caldari tanks makes me a bit mad really. Mainly because in 4 seconds I am down over 3k shield and trying to run while a forge gunners finishes me off. |

I would also like to have some equipment to tackle a tank. It's nice that tankers sacrifice SP and ISK for good tanks, but great tanks with great support need to be tacken down a notch. I ilke the 3 second 'stun' idea. Heavy Armor tanks will hate it because momentum is not easy to acquire from a dead stop. I wouldnt mind seeing a battlefield fight over some 'unstoppable' tank because it got tackled. Fun things happen from bad situations. Proof: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_iQw3YcLoQU More Equipment I would like to see imported from EvE into Dust 514: Webs - http://www.eve-wiki.net/index.php?title=Stasis_Webifier Nosferatu (make it shield energy instead) - http://www.eve-wiki.net/index.php?title=Energy_Vampire Warp Jammer (Graviton Grenade Idea) - http://www.eve-wiki.net/index.php?title=Warp_Jammer MAYke it happen CCP, Please. |

Beyobi.. those would probably come with time.
as for the Grav toys... i'm all for it, since most tanks like to run away if you even scratch their precious toys, force 'em to stay in the fight, dont let the idjits run off |

everything supposedly comes with time. I've given this game 8 month of my time and counting. I'm not sure if you are aware of 'build fatigue' but I've had it for quite some time now and many of the Soon (tm) promised many months ago have yet to see the public light. The only things I've heard to be possibly coming anytime soon are weapons, which is awesome, but I haven't heard any news of any new support items and just want to remind them us LogiBro's are still waiting for more toys. |

Its easy to think tankers have an easy time on the battlefield, I've spent far more time on foot than in a tank myself and the amount of times i've raged at a tank just driving off half dead is uncountable.
But after becoming a near fulltime tanker in recent weeks i've gotta say its not as easy as it looks, one lamp post, invisible corner sticking out from a wall and its like your webbed or someone decided to jack you up and change your treads.
Stuff like this will probably come along eventually but hopefully in a form that is channeled because it would be entirely unfair if tankers can't atleast shoot down the person webbing them. |

would prefer if it were a deployable like proxy mines rather than a thrown grenade.
so it would still be deadly but only if well coordinated, to block an exit... that would cut down the amount of complaining 'i got immobilised by 5 bloobs spamming nades' |
