Whether or not they are being nerfed have some of you thought about the possibility of people becoming more skilled into defensive equipment and skills?

Even the newberries are starting to get their feet steady...somewhat anyway.

i said that because last i remember the AR didnt have such a big kick.
and packed AV nades alone usually took down a med-level shield tank down to 25% shields.
but i could be wrong, i havent played in a week, so idunno

In regards to the av grenades, it could be that the medium level tank you were facing may have been better fitted by the owner or the owner may have trained up defensive skills that have complimented the tank in some way. They are adapting after all to avoid dying.

I occasionally use the exile AR whenever my squad mates tell me to, and so far I have not noticed any increase in kick back. Are you sure you're not incidentally holding the trigger longer than you normally would?

People are fitting better resistance mods and/or shield extenders. Since you only have that bar and not actual numbers to look at there's no way to know how much damage you're actually doing.
