I'm tired of pub stomping 99% of my time with only 1% of my games being good matches. Please if we are going to continue to play this style of random que and shoot for a while longer please at least implement a matchmaking system that takes WP and KD into consideration. I'd like to see more games where I go 10/6 playing tough opponents than continuously going 20/1 against fresh players without even thinking about it.

I agree I'm not the best player in the world by far but I'll make short work of a squad of newbies. Especially when I'm rolling with squad of my corp/alliance mates. Just 2 or 3 days ago me a some mates crushed another team in Skirmish. At the end of the match we realized we only loss 10 clones. Unfortunately I was #10. Damn shotgunner..... but anyways it was obvious this was a one sided match from the start. Though, the sword cuts both ways. I've like many been on the other side of those battles but not in such a bad game. The Matchmaking needs some tweaking. |

I posted this in a different thread, but after looking around I think it should go here.
I'm not sure exactly what happened while I was gone (about a week or so) but since I got back last week I can now tell if a match is going to be a curb stomp by us, or if we will barely take a single objective simply by looking at how the team is squaded up before we ever start. Havnen't read any patch notes, but from reading some threads, I'm guessing they changed the way matchmaking works and are reserving the squads for people already in player corps. Right?
I'd say in the last week I've been in perhaps two close(and really fun) matches. The rest have been all one sided (either way) slaughters. I know sometimes I used to be shuffled in as a squad leader, and while I'm not that great, I could help give objectives to the newer guys. Now, I'm always in the "no squad" batch. Fine and all, but since they went to this new system I'm seeing a lot (and I mean a lot) more one sided curb stomps, and a lot more people dropping out of matches halfway through. I'm also joining a lot more matches where it seems one side had quit in mass than I ever was before. This can't be good for the long term health of a game.
Since I wrote that today, I've been in four more matches all of which where never close either way and one was where I joined half way after what I'm guessing was most of the loosing team quitting, and a bunch of us joined already camped in at the spawn points.
Somethings is wrong when I spend most of my matches lately trying to learn how to drive and run people over since actually fighting the other team and trying to take objectives has become pointless either because we can't even take one, or we hold all of them and never lost a one. Now I'm not saying that high SP people should not be in matches with noobs at all, maybe there just need to be a better job of evening up the teams. Like I said, I didn't notice this being this bad a few weeks ago before the solo players where all put in the no squad grouping. |
