Been playing for a little over a month, and have been putting SP into anything that has caught my interest in an effort to find what role I enjoy the most. I've found that I thoroughly enjoy taking NULL cannons in skirmish and flanking/oneshotting AR mooks. Sadly, I feel like I've dumped too many points into random bs, so if anyone could shoot me some tips on building a good fitting/character, it''d be much appreciated. |

I have marginal experience with shottys but I would say focus on Weaponry, Light Weapon Sharpshooter, Profile Dampening (Also Dropsuit Command, does the same thing so train them evenly. Don't upgrade one of them to IV if the other one is at II.), Profile Analysis and Systems Hacking. |

The shotty scout doesn't depend a lot on character-skills so it's a great second job for any bored merc.
It's a really good idea to skill up light weapon sharpshooter. Do that. It'll improve the usefulness of the shotgun a lot.
I'd like to propose giving remote explosives a thought. It only takes one level in Demolitions and will give you a lot of enjoyment, I promise. The main use of the remote explosives is to defend the terminals you hacked. Enemy mercs will swarm to counter-hack whatever you claimed for your team and the explosives will let you remotely ruin their day. Technology.
Otherwise there's also the idea of fitting advanced nova knives to your shotty scout. They don't take up much CPU and PG and will let you annoy snipers and hackers just that decisive bit more. |

imo go pistol scout ^.^
You can 1shot those shotgun noobs before they can even touch you. It does require some SP. (KLO + sidearm sharpshooter l3 or l4) |

I just wrote this on Shotgun Scout-Sniper Hunting. I've included my current Shotgun Fitting if that helps. Be sure to max out Combat Engineering and Circuitry. They are cheap skills but give you much more CPU/PG for fittings.
