CCp, whats the dealio?
I can play for hours man, and yet that dude who just stood still in the MCC gets about as many points and ISK as me? Even heard teammates laughing and boasting about it. Not cool man. Not cool at all.
Do we have official word on when or if these cheaters will get reprimanded? I say strip them of all SP and ISK.
I know we got team damage coming into play soon, so that'll be something. At least I can give it to these cheaters good an proper until CCP serious fix the SP system. |

Do this over and over again until they get the point. This game is all about working together (even in Ambush) and playing a role...unfortunately couch potato merc is not one of those roles. If they do nothing and just stand there, they deserve nothing - because they didn't fulfill their end of the contract. |

This is killing me. I notice the grenades going off every now and then, and am just left wondering how many hot girls have exploded at my 500 shield 500 armor afk setup. Its usually me who explodes to warm hugs <3 |

Get on team chat and blast http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RWAdb1vgoik as loud as humanly possible.....
then proceed shoot them with a assault mass driver
Then send them 30 empty mails
Then you grenade hug them.
rinse and repeat until they quite dust and go back to call of duty. |

They are not cheating if they are simply using the tools and mechanics made available to them. Also, don't expect CCP to punish anyone doing that. CCP is the same game company that allowed their own players to slaughter other defenseless players in Eve while all they did was pull up a lawn chair and eat popcorn. |

Its easy the SP system needs to be flipped. 5 SP per WP and 1 SP per second. This wouldnt give anyone a reason to AFK because even in the longest games they could only hope to make 2000 SP max but if you play well you can easily make 10,000 or more SP just from WPs alone.
I dont blame the AFKers for taking advantage of the fact that you get about 75% of your SP from just being in a match. |

Problem with AFK, especially as dust progresses and the new "commander" role comes in to play, it will be hard to differentiate someone AFK scamming vs ligitly idle. Giving an example of some people who do training youtube videos, they sit in the MCC and show overhead maps and discuss training... we shouldn't kick them, because that's a value to the community.
Also with the commander roles, you would inadvertently kick them for not moving.
That said; one solution, would be to require I/O input from the controller- button press, leading to some action. Problem is, that can be scammed as well.... then it leads you to a more complex problem, to build an algorithm... and of course that will be scammed at some point as well...
No gents the real answer, as always, is to put the power in the hands of the community, like SOCOM of old- a vote to kick, solves any problem imaginable and always adapts to the latest scams.... |
