sometimes the neocom comes up when i try to aim in a battle and i wont be able to aim until i die and respawn, getting revived doesn't help, i was told this was a closed beta problem that was fixed in the past and went away once the game went open beta, i've had this problem since i started playing when it went open. sorry if there's already a post on this, just thought I would let you all know. |

it sometimes happens to me. If it happens again just hide, press start and then exit map and it will be fixed. |

I don't know who told you that. Because nothing has been done about it. The Devs have acknowledged there is a problem but that is pretty much all we know.
A couple of solutions are possible.
How many controllers do you have plugged in? Get it to back to One. Charging a second controller causes problems. Big, big problems. Do Not Do It.
How old is your controller? Try a newer one. Take a look inside the DS3 (and probably the earlier version) and you will see a real cheap solution for connecting a cable onto a circuit board without a connector. The are two pins that hold a cable onto the board. Mine had one hole torn in the cable. Inconsistent results at best. Also without actual contact the circuit board contacts corrode. The cable doesn't seem to. Basically a lousy product design. But Cheap! If the cable isn't broken like mine the corroded contacts could probably be fixed. Sony had DS3 on sale in January so I solved it the American way.
If the controller is acting really strange, a button doesn't work at all or such, then unplug the battery. Wait a bit and reconnect. The controller will actually go bonkers and need a hard reset. I have only heard of it a time or two so it is hard to believe that this is DUST specific.
Finally what they Are Working on is the controllers are Resetting often. I have yet to hear why in an update or mention of a fix. This is related to the Hacking Quits bug. I have no idea if fixing that will solve the wrong button problem.
An interesting side note is that my old controller works in every other game I have on the PS3. Not a complete test as my total is only ~30. If it wasn't for DUST I wouldn't be playing it now. |

I had the same problem and to be honest all i had to do was stick sellotape (Sticky tape) around the left handle and it was fixed. I think it is if your controller is a bit worn out and the vibrating starts it activates the button.
If you notice a slight movment with your controller when twisting it try the tape idea. |

This bug happens to lots of people (often), someone partially provided the solution already. Just hitting start then O doesn't seem to work for most people.
Hit start Hit L1 Press O twice ??????? Problem solved
It's got something to do with the game thinking you've already hit start or at the spawn select/suit select screen, which also uses L1 to access the neocom. |
