With Dust514 becoming more common across New Eden, will we see an application for Dust514 ground attacks in wormhole systems? With take over of WH systems and the clean up of old leftover customs offices, could we see Dust514 as an option to reduce requirements to remove unwanted system satellites, and equipment? Could this allow for better system monitoring of daily wormhole shifting events? Would it add to PI rates and management of resource production? |

I want to see it everywhere and one could imagine that it has probably come up a few times within CCP. If anyone from CCP tries to tell you when it is happening smack them. We have a lot of work to do before we even look that way.
p.s. please don't actually smack them, I like my job and don't want to get fired. :P |

I wonder, if from a roleplay perspective, whether it would be a good idea for mercs to go into wormholes at this point...there's still "glitches" with our implants and all, and who knows what actually coming into contact with Sleeper Drones could do to us... |

Thanks CCP FoxFour. Having a clue to where or if this push-pin is on the planning board helps us see what is coming next a little more clearly.

I think I wrote in another thread that I'd like to see this become a form of rare mandated interaction between EVE and DUST. In other words, DUST mercs can't get into W-space without an EVE pilot to take them there. I can see why this would be problematic for lowsec and even nullsec space, but by making it work for W-space we can get a whole new kind of gameplay.
I imagine Dust merc (pirate?) corps hiring EVE "runners" to do high-risk drops in wormhole territory. Then the EVE pilot has to hide in-system while the Dusters do a prolonged mission, come back around for a pickup, and get out. This might even depend on having several moving pieces: perhaps the Dust corp needs to have a special single-use Sleeper tech to bypass a Sleeper security system in order to play a Sleeper mission in the first place. Maybe EVE pilots have to scout out planets to know whether there are Sleeper ruins to investigate, and can then either hire Dust mercs to investigate or sell the info to someone else. And all this possibly having to come together within a single day.
I'd think at least one prerequisite would have to be that you could hire freelance mercs and not just corps, because of the time constraints on knowing which wormhole will take you where you want to go. Hiring freelance mercs would have to involve either an application process or at least being able to specify the makeup of the team (e.g., you need three players who meet certain specialization requirements, and then everyone else just needs to have a base level of skill).
Anyway, it's a lot of fun to think about where these things can go, but I expect we're talking years in the future at this point. |

I'd like to see a whole-scale integration of Dust mercs into wormholes. Expand on the sleeper involvement for the PvE side. Sleepers spawn on planets, and disrupt any PI, or provide support for anoms. Mercs are needed to protect planetary interests as well as trigger more escalations.
For PvP, they could be deployed in enemy holes to install sensor facilities that could provide valuable intel as well as disrupt PI. Of course, they planet-based artillery that is yet to be implemented would be available as well. To take it even a step further, I'd like to see mercs be able to infiltrate an enemy POS and switch off shields and disrupt defenses. Conversely, having mercs mount the defense turrets in lieu of capsuleers would be amazing.
Anyway, just a few ideas. |

WH planets should be inhabited by truly alien lifeforms, that would be all I would want to see different from k-space planets. |
