No, but I don't play the game anymore anyway, waiting for new build. If Dust turns out to be pretty awesome by release, then yes, I would still play even if I maxed out all skills.
I think any game that relies solely on progression as a means of motivating players to play, and not actual gameplay is a bad game. A good game should keep you playing even if you unlock everything, and I hope Dust will be that sort of game. |

i doubt that estimate is anywhere correct.
in EVE there is actually other things to do other than combat. and with neet people already at 6 million, i can see people getting every skill and having loads of extra skill points by the end of the year. |

Active SP per week is 285600 with a booster.
Passive SP per week is 252000 with a booster.
The amount of Active (pre-cap) and Passive SP you could earn before the end of the year is 23116800 SP which leaves a difference of 94410960 SP to be made up in capped battles.
Assuming you always get the maximum of 1500 boosted SP per battle, you would need to play 62940 battles by the end of the year to maximise your skills.
That's 1463 battles per week or 209 battles per day or 9 battles per hour (assuming you play 23/7 and never sleep). |

Now I see where you get the loads of SP from. the sever is only down for 15-30 min a day so thats about 6 more games a day. Good estimate there Necrodermis.... |

I am inventing a semi-serious player based on nothing for the purposes of this post.
Assumptions:
- You reach the SP cap in three days.
- You play four hours a day during the week.
- You play six hours a day on the weekends.
- You average 800 SP per battle after the cap.
It will take you nearly four years to maximise your skills.
If you always reach the 1500SP cap, it will take you three and a half years with this same play time. |

Not gonna happen. It will take 7 years for the skill books we have currently in the market and this doesn't include the skill books that have yet to be put in. Even 10-15 years down the road I highly doubt anyone would be able to maximize their skill books. We still have Eve players out there with 200 million SP on their characters that have been around since beta and yet none of them have maximized all available skill books. That should tell you something. |

Absolutely. That's when it gets fun.
I could just focus on doing cool things and pull off stunts instead of grinding to catch up to the competitive guys. |
