I know the skill unlocks the passive armor repair module, but it also "+3% armor repair rate per level" I was wondering if this applied to the repair tool as well. And if it does, does it get applied to the repairer, the repairee, or both and are added together. Any info or insight would help. Thanks guys |

Good question.
I always assumed it was just for modules. |

As I believe that armorcrepair is a prerequisite for remote armor repair it should work on them... unless ccp is planning to make remote repair do sometuing similar. |

My question is, does it affect Passive Armor Repair on dropsuits? Or is only for Active Armor Repair modules on vehicles? |

No such thing as passive armor repair. Armor can be repaired by a local armor rep, which this skill does effect, or by a remote armor repair tool, which is not effected by this skill. |

Well no ****, clearly I have no idea what I'm talking about >_>
Of course I meant the Passive Repair Module, I assumed people would get that. Thanks for answering my question though. |

I noticed that if I dont have an armor repair module on my suit, my overall repair rate is 0%. I have level 2 armor repair skill, so I think it only stacks on top of a module.
I think the module i run is plus 2hp, maybe +3. I think it increases this by 3%, so your repair would be at 2.06 hp or 3.09hp. Hope this helps. |

i haven't bothered doing the math with and without... i have my armor repair skill to lvl 4 and it feels like the skill affects both my dropsuit armor repair module and my triage repair tool. |

It says the bonus is to armor rep rate... so instead of increasing the 2 3 or 5 to their respective +15% i think it might actually reduce the cycle time i.e. make it shorter between intervals.
so at max skill level it is x/51s instead of x*1.15/60s |

That is a whole different way of looking at it.

Things get buried around here pretty quick. Their are people who say it does apply to the tool and others say it does not... I'm no more informed than when I asked |

i would assume the skill affects the cycle time of the armour rep not the actual repair ammount. ie taking it down from 1 sec on a passive suit rep to 0.97 at level 1.
it is how it works in eve. |

Remote repair effects targeted systems only as it Invovles the management of throwing armor nanites onto a target effectively. Self repairs is a different skill set that involves the efficient use of armor pumps. |
