I'd like either/both of these.
Say, a jump pack that's a bit of equipment, and just launches you in an arc, with no other control (or shooting)
Or a hook for a side arm that's an auto reel in. |

Second time I've seen grappling hook today...lol...do you really want to hear terrible yodeling over comms? Really? 
Something like grappling hooks would require entirely new mechanics and would most likely be a royal pain to use...
Jump packs can be fun...but I'd say there would have to be some severe requirements for their use and possibly suit restrictions. I know I'd like more control when hot dropping from a DS.  |

Jets packs would be a very fun piece of infantry equipment.
Though if something like this were ever implemented it should a lv.5 item. My general view is any major modules like jet packs, mobile cloaking for example should have a lv.5 requirement in a specific suit type. Seeing as how with any skill point game eventually one will spend most of their play time in higher tiered equipment/ levels. Items like this should be worked towards and geared in a way to prevent team spamming of them. |

Well, (applying some real thought to this idea)
There's no reason any military force of this era and scope of terrain operation wouldn't use such devices. It would only give more dynamics to game play.
