reading threads on here and on IGN it seems many are giving up on this game. I love this game and can remain patient but many have tried and giving up which in the long run won't keep many playing this for long or for good!
Can we get what is promised? battle for planets, maps, new a different looking guns, weather elements etc etc?!
Can we get a response from CCP devs on a time table besides this bs response Soon (tm)?!?!
I fyou want this game to thrive and be able to carry over to PS4 let us fans know what is going on and keep the ball moving!!!
I want to see this game stay popular and fresh with content. Can we get a response por favor |

While you're at it you might want to rethink the Sp cap given the growing opposition to the cap, as mentioned in another thread many are saying they're done due to the inability to unlock skills due to the 1000sp limit per match. |

it is tuff to unlock the higher sp stuff.. but I think that what makes it cool to be able to dominate over people when you unlock the upper SP gear. But the SP AND isk is way too low earning weekly wise |

lol, i understand your excitement OP.
But lines of original code, are not created automatically.
ALL code, even 3d models, etc. Are made by hand. It takes time to make something, and even more time to debug it. :)
CCP will come through. They always have. |

I jump in the game logg off and jump out and go play EVE honestly this crap is getting so repetitive and boring Dust was coming through with hella news and updates now it just seems like things have stopped it has been what 2 or 3 weeks since anything really fresh. Even worse the disconnects from the game and from matches have gone up I am so tired of playing the same thing over and over again. It's either trolling in my tank going 40/0 3700 war points or getting trolled and annoyed by forge gunners there is no side step to anything its just a repetitive repeat of the same thing enough to make my head explode. |

in my opinion, they should close the open beta for a bit. Too many people are acting like this is the final product nd it being open this long with no updates isn't helping. I know ccp is working their butts off, but i feel that this open beta may hurt them in the long run. |

I might quit playing myself if they don't start working on issues. Chinese New Year be damned, they need to stop working on new features and fixing the ones we've already got.
CCP's Eve Online dev team did this same **** and had a (literal) riot on their hands before they finally realized they were doing **** wrong.
Just saying. |

The OP is complaining that they aren't adding new, fresh (albeit promised) material and you are complaining that they are planning to add new, fresh material without fixing the old material first. You truly cannot please everyone.
If they painstakingly squash all the bugs but leave everything as it currently is, they will lose people due to lack of new material. Not only that, they will eventually add the new material and it will inevitably add a bunch of bugs, even with the old material.
If they hurry up and pound out a bunch of new stuff until they have no choice but to debug it, they will lose players who have been waiting for "this or that" to get fixed for so long that they QQ and do damage to the games reputation as it will become known to be buggy. I know a number of people who feel that way about the laser rifle skills, for example.
They may have prematurely opened this game up for people waiting in the wings. I know, personally, I have spent many an hour playing and enjoying the game as it is. It is not perfect and they will certainly need to add a whole lot more content for it not to be meaningless blood splattering. The game isn't finished, though, so new PSN users hoping in and trying it for a week and saying "its no COD" or something means nothing. Perhaps they should have "opened" the beta without making it open. Invite only or lengthy application or something. Its too late now, we are off the reservation...
For my part, I acknowledge this games unfinished state whenever I feel I am getting fed up with this or that and if the point comes where I am getting bored to death with the thing (as is) I will set it down for a month. Let those SP rack up passively as I play other games and come back to it when the big bang features come in.

You misunderstand.
Beta Testing: "Software testing is an investigation conducted to provide stakeholders with information about the quality of the product or service"
While I understand there is a need for new content and material as the game is easy to stagnate, adding new material is a great way to implement new bugs and -massive- game design issues. For example: The current predicament with the Prototype Heavy dropsuit is the cost of what you're getting out of it. Originally, you got a massive HP bonus in return for a large jump in price; when they removed the HP differences between the 'tiers' they were left with a Prototype Heavy which got one additional slot but still kept the same price.
Many of the features in the game currently were designed for gear/equipment/modules that aren't in-game yet and thereby we're left with incomplete material that hasn't been balanced for the current spectrum.
EVEN STILL there are non-dynamic balance issues, such as Stacking Penalties not applying or Laser Rifle Skills not working at all. These don't require new content to balance themselves out; they're imbalanced because they're not working as intended. Implementing new material, such as new guns, only makes that worse because than you have issues like...
"HMG is OP. Shotgun is OP. Assault Rifles are OP."
When really the issue lies with the fact that some weapons aren't performing as they're intended (Laser Rifles) and some are performing VASTLY more than they were intended (Assault Rifle stacked with Complex Damage Mods that aren't affected by stacking penalties).
Issues that affect NEW CONTENT should be fixed before that new content is implemented. Always. Otherwise we'll just bullshit 'nerfs' and 'fixes' because the developers cater to the most vocal of the community. A good example?
Heavies had the absolute **** nerfed out of them because mass mechanics weren't in the game yet, and it took SEVERAL MONTHS for them to get back to a point where they were usable again.
Scouts were inadvertently over-nerfed because of two things: A.) Strafe speed was nerfed. B.) Hitscan (bullets hitting where they aim, rather than traveling over distance via ballistic mechanics) was implemented. Either of these would have fixed the Scout suit in the past but both were implemented, making the Frontline Scout a less appealing option and the Scout as a whole less appealing save for the hardcore ninjas out there as their risk vs reward isn't balanced for the current game mechanics.
These are issues that need to be fixed while in the Beta, with new content applied afterward - not the other way around. If we go to full release with whopping, major problems like these (up to and including Logistics LAVs not having the built in repair tool as their description says) will make the game less appealing as a whole as they're expected to be fixed BEFORE release, especially with such a long beta. |

Correct me if i'm wrong, but aren't the teams divided up to tasks? A team of devs for new content and another for bug stomping? at least that how it is for some mmo, not sure if it applies here but if it does there is nothing you can really do.
As for the argument of weapons being OP, i really don't think weapons are as op as people make it sound.
The skills for laser rifles should be fixed among other things but CCP has proven time and again that they are dedicated to stomping problems and are willing to admit when they drop the ball. I'm thinking there is a set amount of content they want out for the beta, i say let them launch it, we test it, they fix it and when it's officially released, we'll have a game that is different from other shooters. Because right now, aside fro the skills and fitting, there is nothing that really sets this game apart. i said it before and i'll say it again. an open beta, running this long, is hurting this game. Far too many people are making overly critical judgements here. |
