Seriously, I love the easy kills, but why is it the vast majority of people (friendly and enemy) don't take the three to ten seconds in cover to allow their shields to recharge? I've shot cherries until their shields drop. Intelligently (seemingly, at least), they take cover. Then, before their shields start coming back they poke their heads out. Pop, pop, pop. Dead. If they had simply waited a few seconds, their shields would have regenerated and they could have potentially survived.
Anyway, consider this solid advice if you're one of those peeps that does this. Be patient. Wait the three or so seconds for your shields to start regenning (ten if they are completely dropped) - then rengage. I'll keep taking the easy kills, but you don't have to be one of them if you just take a few seconds behind cover.
Also, obviously, combat is fluid and you may not always be able to do so, but whenever battle lines form, as they often do, use cover not just to dodge bullets, but to allow time for your shields to regen. Well, happy hunting. |

Cannon fodder has been an FPS staple since early times.

I been wondering that myself but luckily this morning about a 1/4th of my kills learned to duck for cover.. not that it saved them but it did provide them a fighting chance to shoot back. |

I have done this on occasion usually when im a scout suit with a shot gun... becaus lets be honest im gonna die anyway.
If yiu run out of ammo while shooting me and I have no shields my best bet is to kill yiu before you finish reloading.
Then again its a rare occurence... im very good at hiding. |
