Okay so I just wanted some opinions from anyone who will respond. When you enter a pub/corp match do you go in with the mentality to cost the other team as much ISK as possible or make as much money as possible? I know that on some level they are related but basically do you enjoy getting money more or costing someone a several matches worth of ISK? Personally I prefer costing others more, there is something satisfying about spending only 30k at most or so to blow up a 500k tank, dropship, or REALLY expensive suit. |

In all pub matches I go in with the intention of making money. With Corp games, and I have yet to fight for my Corp, I imagine I woulnt really care about ISK since I would work to help my team win, though if it looked like we were losing too badly to salvage I would try to cost the other Corp as much ISK as possible. |

Skirmish is about winning for me.
Ambush is about ISK.
I never liked Ambush and the restricted maps have made it nearly unbearable to me. The small maps and the mediocre spawn algorithm just aggravates me to no end.
There is a different decision process at play as well.
Do I need to practice something?
Lately it has been Scout Shotty. They terrorize everybody but I was terrible at it so I decided to start some matches every time I play and get better at it. It worked with Swarmers, Forge Guns and Scouts in general. It is very hard for me to run away but the Heavy is not a RPG Monster and their HMG will spit me out like shredded cheese. Even with my Shotgun of +3 to scare.
Do I need ISK? Or SP?
I make more ISK in Ambush in the course of an hour but more SP in Skirmish (on average).
Not all my Squad mates agree (maybe even none) and some only want Kills no matter what while others want their KD/R to always improve.
Hope this helps. |

Depends on the other team. If they're bringing in more expensive fittings than they can afford to lose (in a pub match), I make it a point to make them go negative. |
