I know the difference, what i would like to know is: When Dust gets new things for us to test and break, will they be able to put it on their test server before launching into the full game, a'la EVE? It should be a no brainer why this is necessary (remember the EVE ISK transfer debacle?). I know there would have to be a way to select which server you are going into much like Eve. Other than that, what are some potential problems/concerns you guys have? Do you think it's possible once we go "live"? If you don't think it's necessary, why not? |

CCP hinted at the possibility of a Singularity/testserver build a few months ago, although it probably won't happen until the full release, because there's no need for it right now. |

Thanks, for a minute I was afraid my question was too wordy. |

Yes. You need additional copy of eve to connect test serwer. For Dust 514 probably yes too. I dont mind. I use PS3 only for Dust

I thought CCP was testing, pre beta ideas on Buckingham test server before they release it to DUST? Sure, it would be nice if we could test something in a test server in case the 'oops' happens . There are a number of variables to consider. Especially when content is EvE and DUST related. Market, surface to space strikes, and any other ideas that haven't seen light.
Maybe it would be a better idea to test in Buckingham. Wouldn't want to break SiSi, that would slow down EvE development. Buckingham? Don't care if we break it. I'll pack a 'Nova Sawsall' for my equipment slot. |

I'm not sure if having everyone install two versions of Dust on the same console is a good idea because the vast majority of console players are just not use to that concept. |

If it let me check out the new toys and features first, I wouldn't mind at all. I'm sure that there are others who would like to do the same as well. |
