There have been repeated episodes of exploiting the position at the top of the mountain at C near the line between 6 and 7.
This place is accessible by a fast Attacker Scout with a LAV and then is problematic through out the match. It is also used when the Defenders decide to Sniper Tank from there as well.
Here are a few options that would solve it are evident to me.
- Adjust the Red Lines (both sides) to block access to the top of the peak.
- Adjust the Attacker Red Line to block Defender access to the peak. Or access to the valley leading up to the sniping position.
- Adjust the Mesh/Texture such that once up there Nothing can actually get to the peak and See the battlefield below. I realize that this is a much more intensive fix and that is why I suggested Red Line solutions first. It is easily done and could be used for a temporary solution to see if it produced better game play. |

I hate to burst your bubble, but there are no good places to HAV snipe from up there. Trust me, I've tried. |

Oh there definitely is. And when they are there I can barely touch em with my forge when I stand at the edge of the redline. At which point they back up behind an outcropping and recharge , that is when my shots hit him because of the angle the terrain around him tends to eat a lot of them . There is even enough room to back up out of the way of an orbital. |

C6 is not as bad as C7 as the rock outcrop doesn't show up and you are not able to get line of sight to them but they have free range to shot from there becuase of it |

The playable space has been altered to prevent players from accessing those areas of Manus Peak now. |

I would just give RDVs a flight ceiling, so when they try to call them in, they crash into the mountain |

That's a interesting idea. I will pass it on to the individuals in charge of those particular game mechanics. |

Que Bad Furry who exploits the absolute **** out of this. Uses a Sagaris with a Railgun and once he's up there there's literally nothing you can do about it for the rest of the game.
Seeing an HAV Driver go 20/30 - 0 isn't uncommon and frankly If I never see another sniper up there I'll be happy. Far too much headshot glitching going on there.
Hell, the other day I saw a heavy's entire model and couldn't hit him from any angle because of some crazy invisible barrier. |

I have to say seeing this fix made me really happy. There was a pretty big discussion on it a month ago here

It's cool to see the feedback being acted on in a pretty quick manner. |

I barely use that area to snipe anymore, but the whole point of having a tall mountain is so you can snipe from it. Lowering RDV flight ceiling would be understandable, or just make the area unsuitable terrain for calling them in like other areas of the map. |

*Important Note* HAV Sniping from B3 has intensified
HAV pilots have begun to use railguns to snipe from inside the redzone of Caldari MCC, and the result is that they are too far off for a sane distance of attack, and when you get insanely close, they can just back up very little distance and be very safe. This is a big problem because it has amazing view point just like the mountain, except nothing can reach it besides another railgun. Please look into this, my dropship needs to be avenged. |

Yeah I saw three red HAVs there the other day. The reds could just hold the ground above C and then use the HAVs to control the rest of the map. Objectives B and A even wound up with hack points sideways to them so anyone hacking would get sniped.
Manus is a map that really needs to have both redzones reworked at the mesh level. |

Just happened. 3 tanks just sniped until they managed to kill enough people so their infantry could move in. We were eventually cloned because they're basically unkillable behind the redline.
Just remove this map because it's awful. |
