1. Increase the heat build up. Honestly, I use a heavy and heat build up has never been a problem, I do think that we should have to manage our heat build up though.
2. Somewhat increase the spread. People who claim that an HMG is as dangerous at a distance as it is up close are lying. However, I see no problem with increasing it's spread. This way HMG will still be able to provide cover fire at a distance.
It's range, ROF, and damage should be left as is, and it definitely does not need a spool up time. A spool up time would severely hinder them in CQC, which is currently their main role. Nerfing their range on the other hand would force them to only be CQC weapons, that's what SMGs, and shotguns, are for.
Now then, let the QQ begin! |

That moment when you're 1v1ing a heavy and having that little bit of hope that he runs out of ammo. Never happens.
Oh and can't a heavy skill up their sharpshooting for more range? |

That moment when your 1v1 ing a heavy and that stupid mini map/vehicle menu pops up -_- Every single time...
Edit: Everyone can skill up sharpshooter though, they just don't want too. It being % wise would also nerf the skills if the range were to get nerfed though. |

But for the record, people don't seem to realize that LAVs with decent blasters can mow down HMGs no problem- and the turret blocks most of the HMG's shots |

How about increasing its range/reducing spread while adding the spool time and heat build up. I still have the idea that HMGs are for suppressing fire, not for CQC. IMO anyway.... |

You wont see many smart heavies outside of CQC though, they're sniper bait. It could possibly work, but good luck convincing others to give them more range |

No, CQB is really the only thing a heavy is good at. It just needs a little bit more spread, and a little bit more heat build up, and it will be fine. We also need a light machine gun. |

I guess this is my way of telling CCP that all those other nerfs are unnecessary. Frankly, mine are too, but since people insist on nerfs, I'm offering alternatives. |

Problem is that the ones who do insist on nerfs, also happen to be the loudest

Train up sharpshooting yourself...I can take down a heavy with my AR at range. They get a few hits in but for the most part the cone of fire at range won't let them take you down very much... |

Seems perfectly reasonable to me. |
