I believe there should be an option to 'log out' or 'switch character' from the in game menu. Currently I have to quit the game and restart the whole thing. I also believe this would be very useful for combating glitches. Often when I glitch I have to do the same and I believe just logging out and back in would probably fix the glitches too. This would reduce time and frustrations felt by us the players. |

I fully agree. I often want to switch characters to change up the way I'm playing, but it forces me to quit. If the restart time for the game wasn't too bad I wouldn't mind as much, but the fact that I can't switch characters in-game coupled with the extremely long load time to get back into the game after quitting makes switching characters very annoying. |

Try Search. There must be a hundred posts asking for that. Or the option to change characters without exiting the game. Hasn't happened yet.
Wait until the new UI hits. It might be in there. It might not.
My favorite post along this line was an EVE player saying that CCP had done it on EVE so they should do it on the PS3. The Ancient Console with 512MB of total memory and a PC with multiple GBs of RAM and more video memory than the entire PS3 has in total. |

You're not the first to ask for this. Eve Online players have been asking for this feature for ages. |

yea but eve players also don't have to sit through the "Move" warning screens even if we don't own a Move or they don't have to press x (wait a minute or 2 for it to check) and then start x2 (once to skip the intro movie which we should be able to disable) and the 2nd to get to the character select screen.... all eve players have to do is either click on the launch button which quickly and i mean much quickly checks to see if there is a patch that has been deployed... it also downloads faster and then you can hit the play button and the login screen comes up... it will have you login ID already saved there if it is your 2nd or later login from that computer so all that is needed is a pw and then enter to login and get to chara select screen which does not take that long to come up... so yea having a quick logout button for Dust would be Greatly appreciated..
BTW I also play eve which is how I know the login process. |
