im growing increasingly concerned with the latest publicity released... ps4 for black friday... continued delay on GAME release...PS saying no psn games will be transferable ... DUST is a psn game... we ARE in beta... betas typically END... before game is released... im concerned that we will see our beloved beta end around time for ps4s release and we will be assured by CCP that all our data is saved and will be reestablished on ps4, and no longer ps3 accessible ... potentially wounding those ps3 DUST 515 buyers... not ALL of us will be able to get a ps4 on day 1... i fear we will be assured by CCP that EVE is 10yo, ur data will be here for u when u finally DO get a ps4 ... any words on this line of thinking???
cuz we all know the desires of CCP (EVE is 20, DUST 514 is 10) console lifespan 7yrs... :-( |

I've heard that Dust will be released on the PS3 and PS4, and gradually transition over to the PS4 like a bunch of other games did during the Xbox-Xbox 360 transition or PS2-PS3. |

remember... 360 plays XBOX games
BPO ps3 plays ps2
ps4 will have NO such luck... systems OS isnt compatible ... thus how to be gradual??? ps3 &4 cant operate together... |

we haven't heard from a dev in weeks, i'd assume toon info is stored on the same server as eve players. in other words its there forever, unless you terminate it yourself.
in other news, dont expect an answer about PS4 until fanfest. we can expect one of three things to happen.
Dust514 will go to Ps4
Dust514 will go to PC
Dust514 will be canceled

No, no, I meant like there was a game released optimized for the PS2 and the PS3. An example would be Star Wars: The Force Unleashed. They had a PS2 and a PS3 version (the PS2 one was watered-down compared to the PS3 one, however.) And by gradual, I mean that they'll stop updating the PS3 one and eventually close down the servers.
It's going to happen with Watch_Dogs as well, I think. |

The game will run on both ps3 and 4
Only difference will be graphics at first then they will gradually over a long timephase ps3 out |
