So far, I feel like New Eden is ran on idea Capitalism so there are no actual military from the Faction and just Faction just hire mercenaries to make an army. Is this right? or am I understanding it wrong? |

Capitalism is an economic system, not a political system...
Capitalism would be the main economic system in New Eden |

amarr is theocratic, gallente is democratic, caldari is like an oligarchy, and minmitar is tribal republic sorta thang. They each have their own militiary, but dust mercs are special soldier guys who are new to the scene and are apparently superior to the average soldier |

close enough ryanki, yea we play a special breed of dust mercs at that, most would be tied to a specific factions standing army. Unlike us who are true mercenaries. |

The New Eden economy is based on Hyper-capitalism. Almost everything you see in New Eden is built, bought and sold by the players. CCP only looks after it to ensure it doesn't collapse. However, monopolies are encouraged. |

Elijah Sol' Dzusaki wrote:Capitalism is an economic system, not a political system... Capitalism would be the main economic system in New Eden Well Capitalism is where there is no sector held by the government, everything is held in Private interests. So when he talks about not having armies, he's actually sudo-correct in that the government wouldn't have its own army but rather hire it out to private industry.
The U.S.A is a mixed economic system, our governments doesn't hire out police, firemen, and hospitals, they have their own. In a pure Capitalistic system, the government would hire out companies to fight fires, track down thugs, and run hospitals.
However, that doesn't mean that such companies do not exist in USA. We certainly do have private hospitals, company prisons, and Security agencies. The US allows free enterprise, thus a "Mixed Economy".
So what this guy is asking is whether or not New Eden is Capitalist enough to have no army what so ever, rather on a complete Private Industry contracting system. |

It's the best economic guinea pig out there for this kind of thing. |
