Django Quik R.I.f.t 219	Posted - 2013.02.22 15:03:00 - [1] - Quote Saw a guy in local yesterday trying to recruit for his brand new corp by offering to pay new recruits - his payment being a 150k isk sign on bonus and 20k isk per day. Needless to say this paltry offering garnered no positive replies (seriously? 10% of a match gets you 20k isk!). However, it did get me thinking... if you were to sell your merc to the highest bidding corp, what amount of isk would be enough to buy your services? What kind of salary would you demand?

Something like that i guess, now to put a price on my contract is hard to say atm...

CRONOS. 164	Posted - 2013.02.22 15:20:00 - [5] - Quote Consulting in corp/conquest fights as a ringer, I'd say based on performance salary (wp/totalwp times match price) plus equipment reimbursement. Any officer guns handed beforehand to fit, keep the leftovers. If I were to sell. I don't, my ringer services will always be free except for the officer gun rule. As far as corp goes, I'll stick with the best bunch I play with, and EVE services accompany.

I'd rather find people that aren't clone rejects and I get along with. Someone offering 150k for a signing bonus and 20k a day after is not someone I'd get along with. Don't get me wrong, I know the guy has to get the ISK from somewhere (and if it's funneled from EvE at some point, it won't be an issue with some of the bankrolls certain people have), those numbers are insulting.

Yeah, i make around 100m a day in eve, but i know some people that make 600m in an hour, those guys would be able to outfit a small army in proto-gear and not break a sweat about loosing it.

I could be hired either on a per battle basis or long-term as an on call merc. There would be plenty of caveats and tidbits included, such as bonuses and exit clauses. Further, I'm a merc. Depending on who the opponent is, my price might double (which would be in the contract, a statement saying if such and such a corp takes the field on the other side, I want more ISK). Baseline? If I'm expected to field competitive gear and not scrub gear? 2 - 3 million per match, or 1 million plus gear reimbursement. I would only be willing to do the latter with a reliable, proven employer. Obviously inflation and such will happen and this will change, but its about right where I would want to be currently, in the beta economy (what little economy there is now). I could, in theory, also be paid in gear in some cases. And of course, I'd be willing to offer a discount when certain corps are on the other side; there's just some peeps you loving shooting in the face.
