so I've upgraded my lav paid for my saga and the mods that go with it so i've got around 1700 health on the whole shebang plus around maybe 20%+ damage resistance.
so I was crushing some noobs in my lav the other day when another lav crashed into me and promptly exploded , I died.
for those of you that missed that: I died my lav didn't blow up.
not sure if this is working as intended or not but if a lav with less shields and or armor then you crashes into you it will kill you and leave the vehicle (relativity) intact I don't think this should happen as it can lead to players loosing vehicles that they payed for to suicide runs by other (free) lavs if you have experiences with this subject don't hesitate to post below my fellow dusters!
can I get a dev response on this so I at least know whether or not this is supposed to happen? would be greatly appreciated |

I've had it happen a couple time before but its pretty rare. I believe it happens when you are side swiped or at an angle where you don't have the front of the vehicle between you and the explosion. Your drive seat is wide open, just like getting sniped while driving. At the right angle anything can hit you, even a well placed regular grenade .

I bet you forgot to fit the seat-belt and airbags in your haste, eh?

Normally I blow up LAVs with something: Proximity mines, Forge Guns, HMGs, Rail Gun Turret, Blaster Turrets. Every now and then nothing is available. What works under those conditions is to physically shoot the driver and the gunner. This leaves the LAV intact.
If the LAV that rammed your LAV hit You then you will die as the LAV does not provide any personal protection whatsoever to the Driver, Passenger or Gunner.
We can leave the discussion of running NewBs down for a different day and during more honorable times. Probably not involving you judging from your actions and comments.  |

@ Brush Master unfortunately it was a head on collision bumper to bumper and not at an angel or from the side that could explain the death however could the splash damage perhaps get in through the sides even if the explosion is from the front? |

the lav did not hit me at all which is what conserns me on another note i'd like for you to leave your smug elitest attitude at the door as it does nothing but make you seem like an ass |

btw i think it was me who hit you  but yes can take smash damage (ie run over) if u they hit the drivers spot which i did, this is true for everyone riding in it. |
