I would love it if we got capacitors added to vehicles
That would also mean at least more skills and mods but also more fittings for the various vehicles
It does annoy me that when i log onto EVE i can fit a ship and perma rep my Adaptive Invuls but if i hit up DUST im stuck with the active hardners which last 10sec and cooldown for 30 which are crap in comparision
Really would like a dev to say something on this tbh |

I dont hink we will get cap warfare like you do in eve. vehicle mods are supposed to shut off and force the player to wait, purpose is to stop any tanks fitting perma tank setups (ok i kno you can run two reps and cycle them but nothing compared to eves perma reps- I think but dont quote me on it that vehicles even with 2 reps cant have them runnin perma and will always have moments where they have no active tank available)
reason for this IMO (obviously cant read ccp mind) is everything can be taken down with enough sustained damage, this the same reason why all shields only regenerate after a time period of now damage being taken (tho armour reps are continous but at such small amount its not to usefull in middle of fight although they do increase ehp)
I like the idea that if you can pin down a vehicle sooner rather then later you will get past there active tank and be able to cause some serious damage to them and that is your chance to take them down before they are able to start reps again. rather then finding a perma tanked cap stable tank which needs sustained fire, locking down there movement (unless ramming them with another tank against a wall is currently impossible/Hard) and having to find a vehicle capable of cap warfare to drain the tank.
Although I do think this will bring another dynamic to dust tactics which is needed, I think its to much over complication of the FPS combat system.
(I want to use Lavs to web a HAV running around the turrets tracking speed while calling in a dropship from blueberries that is equipped with cap neuts while infantry lie in wait with anti armour waiting for the cap to drain and the HAV to become vunerable)
although i would also like to use a bomber/artillery tanks to alpha the tank before it gets chance to rep |

I've been talking about such idea for quite some time now. At least from last July. What I want is to take it even further and change the suit stamina to a capacitor and have everything run off it. Guns, modules, running. It would force players to balance their gameplay and think more.
Unfortunately, as the previous poster pointed out, such a mechanic is too complicated for a console FPS. It's also too much to grasp for most FPS players who don't come from EVE (I do). |

I'd like to see this as Tech II suits - more capability, but it comes at the price of managing cap and is vulnerable to cap warfare. |

Id like to see maybe suits/vehicles having some suits which use cap, so not all but maybe class it as experimental |

I can't imagine it working well on dropsuits, but there's an old devblog that talks about cap warfare, so I'm pretty sure it's happening. It'd also make for interesting new ways for infantry to combat vehicles, such as grenades and mines that damage cap instead of shields/armor. |

Maybe having dropsuits have cap and stamina, at moment isnt the stamina taking up hald the ui leaving space for something to take up other half (Im not at ps3 so cant remember off top my head)
Using equipment like reppers or high powered weapons would take some cap from the player, still usable when players cap has run dry due to internal cap bat of item/weapon but no longer fires at optimal strengh. dont have to worry so much about logistics perma repping and whoring the wp as they run out of cap and will have to choose carefully when to use unless great deal of work is put into them being capstable running rep for long periods or people start working out cap/rep chains like in eve though i doubt this cus unlike eve you cant rep/cap and damage so this shoudnt be a problem
With cap used on modules choosing to do go shield or tank becomes a choice because you wont have the cap to do both ,ok there is no shield boosters on suits yet/ever so maybe if suit is low on cap the shields take longer to recharge or the recharge takes longer to activate
