First game I've seen yet that is a serious contender on the same field as Dust. Thought I'd mention it as I saw nobody else has, (as far as I've noticed anyway), and it is a futuristic, sci-fi, rpg style? FPS. Mostly, an FPS according to the Dev; foremost at least. The graphics look extremely impressive, animation and weapons firing action looks really cool, and the scenery is incredible.
Let me say that again, "The scenery is incredible." FF style incredible.
Now, it isn't Dust, but it releases on PS4 and it is MMO, and looks to be some sort of FPS RPG with a fully developed world, Nothing ever is, but lets say it sort of is), and an apparently rich PvE environment like nothing I've ever seen. Looks super awesome, and I'll be watching it further down the road.
I didn't like Halo btw. The original was kind of fun, playing it with my cousins, but never more than that for me.
..and then, I have to mention 'WatchDogs'. Honestly, the most absurd looking game I've ever seen, which I won't be paying attention to. I don't mean to knock the Devs of that one; I am only one person and opinion, but I really don't get it.
I didn't get GTA either; it was dumb, if fun in a ludicrous sort of way, once.. One of my friends has an 11 year old that plays it almost obsessively. It seems to be affecting his character unfortunately too. |

Dr Debo Galaxy wrote:I didn't see Destiny as an MMO but as they said a shared world. I saw it more like borderlands, where there is this world and you can play it without people or with. I get what your saying though, fps with social interaction. I don't know how many people will be able to interact with in destiny but I like dust because of the massive amount of people I can interact with in game.
We will have to wait and see.
Well, at least one part of their video showed three players running into a combat zone cooperatively, and I noticed another in the video at the PS4 conference that showed a few or more players that looked like they were going head to head with another group of players.
Hard to say for certain though, and as you said, they do describe it as a shared world. I'm not sure what that means exactly though. They do seem to present it as something which is played with multiple players when talking about it though. |
